The same is valid if you don’t like playing with elder Sims. After all, there are many things that elders can’t do in The Sims 4.

How can Sims die in The Sims 4?
If you have all the packs and add-ons, there are 34 ways your Sims can die in The Sims 4. The base game supports 12 different death types.
Death by Anger
Extreme Anger causes death by Cardiac Explosion. Sims that have the Hot-Headed trait have much higher chances of dying of Anger than Sims that don’t have this trait
Death by Embarrassment
If your Sim feels really Embarrassed, this emotion can evolve into Very Embarrassed and then Mortified.
If the Mortified emotion is prolonged, your Sims will die of extreme embarrassment.
Death by Laughter
Death by Laughter, also known as Death by Hysteria occurs when the Hysterical moodlet remains active for too long.
As you can see, too much laughter can kill your Sims.
As a quick reminder, these three deaths are also known as emotional deaths. They’re all supported in the base game.
Death by Beetle Juice
If your Sim drinks three glasses of Beetle Juice in a row, they’ll turn into a ghost.
Keep in mind that your Sim needs to be a level 10 Mixologist to trigger this type of death.
This death is specific to Eco-Lifestyle.

- In The Sims 4, the color of a ghost is an indicator of their emotions. It does not necessarily indicate how your Sims died.
Death by Cowplant
If your Sim gets eaten by a Cowplant twice while the Drained moodlet is active, the Grim Reaper will pay them a quick visit.
This type of death is supported in the base game.
Death by Spaceship Crash
If your Sim’s spaceship crashes, it may catch fire and your Sims may die a fiery death. It’s not the crash itself that kills them, but the fire that breaks after the crash.
However, death is not guaranteed. Sims can sometimes survive a rocket crash.
There’s a 75 percent chance for your Sim to die when their rocket crashes.
Well, if you can’t build a rocket in the game, maybe that’s the universe trying to convince you to give up the idea.
This death is supported in the base game.
Death by Flower Scent
Sims that have reached Level 9 of the Flower Arranging skill can make a special bouquet and add a Death Flower to it. The scent will kill elders on the spot.
Death by Drowning
The best way to make your Sims drown is to ensure they cannot get out of the water.
Drowning occurs when your Sims’ energy is depleted, they pass out and drown.
This type of death is supported in the base game.
If you own Get Famous, Sims can also die from leaping into the Luminary’s exotic water garden.
This type of death occurs when your Sim is in a bad mood and the fish are hungry.
Death by Electrocution
Sims with low Handiness skill have pretty high chances of dying by electrocution when they try to repair broken electric objects.
After getting shocked once, your Sim will get the Seriously Fried and Dazed moodlets.
If they get a second electric shock while the Dazed moodlet is active, they’re bound to get a visit from the Death Reaper.
This type of death is supported in the base game.
Death by Rock Climbing
Sims that don’t have the climbing skills necessary to conquer a certain rock wall will slip and fall.
If your Sim tries to climb the tallest rock wall from the Croft Icefall in bad weather conditions, chances are they’ll fall to their death.
This type of death is supported in Snowy Escape.
Death by Fire
If your Sims get too close to open flames, they may catch on fire. Don’t extinguish them if you want them to hit the bucket.
Random fires may sometimes break out in The Sims 4 out of nowhere. The flames can quickly engulf your Sims if you’re not careful or fail to put out the fire.
This type of death is supported in the base game.
Death by Flies
If your Sim goes near a dumpster and uses the Bond with Flies or Clear Flies interactions, they may get eaten alive.
For this death to occur, your Sim needs to be in a bad mood.
This type of death is specific to Eco Lifestyle.
Death by Freezing
If it’s too cold outside and your Sim is wearing summer clothes, they’ll quickly freeze to death.
By the way, you can create the necessary weather conditions for this death to occur by using the Weather Control Device.
This type of death is specific to Seasons.
Death by Lightning
Death by Lightning occurs when your Sim gets struck by lightning twice.
To increase their chances of getting hit by lightning, have them carry an umbrella when there’s a thunderstorm outside.
This type of death is specific to Seasons.
Death by Heatstroke
If you have Seasons, you’d better keep an eye on that thermometer. If the temperature gets too high, your Sims may overheat and die.
Death by Poison
When your Sim is exploring the jungle of Selvadorada, they may get hit by a poisonous arrow or stung by poisonous bugs.
If you don’t get the antidote fast, the poison will kill them.
Death by Magic Overload
If your Sim is a spellcaster, casting too many spells in a row may get them killed.
When the Magic meter gets full, an extreme Magic discharge will take place which can kill your spellcaster.
This type of death is specific to Realm of Magic.
Death by Meteorite
Using the small telescope in The Sims 4 is a potentially deadly activity. Death by Meteorite occurs at night time when your Sim gazes at the stars.
You can prevent it by finding shelter before the meteor hits the ground.
This type of death is supported in the base game.
Death by Old Age
Death by Old Age occurs when your Sim’s life span has reached its end.
To prevent this type of death, go to your game settings and disable aging.
Death by Overexertion
Death by overexertion is specific to elders. If they continue to engage in physical activities after becoming Dangerously Tired, they’ll meet their maker in no time.
This type of death is available in the base game.
Death by Pufferfish
Eating low-quality Pufferfish Nagiri can be the end of your Sim.
Sims with a low Cooking skill level will often cook poor-quality Pufferfish Nigiri.
This type of death is specific to City Living.
Death by Research Machine
If your Sim is using the Research Machine for an extended period of time, they’ll get exhausted.
Contributing too much knowledge to the Research Machine can get your Sims killed.
Death by Research Machine occurs due to extreme mental draining.
This death is specific to Discover University.
Death by Sauna
If your Sims spend too much time in the sauna, they will overheat, dehydrate, and die.
Death by Sauna is one of the easiest deaths to make happen in the game.
This death is specific to Spa Day.
Death by Starvation
If your Sim doesn’t eat for 48 hours, they’ll die of starvation. To speed up the process, disable autonomy and remove all sources of food from the household.
This death is supported in the base game.
Death by Stink Capsule
If two stink capsules backfire and explode in your Sim’s face, they’ll get engulfed in a stink cloud and die.
As you can see, pranking your colleagues’ lockers with stink capsules can be deadly.
This death is specific to High School Years.
Death by Sunlight
If your vampire doesn’t have the Thin-Skinned trait, they will die when exposed to direct sunlight.
The good news is that you an unlock a special ability that makes your vampire immune to sunlight.
This death is available in the Vampires game pack.
Death by Mother Plant
If your Sim decides to attack the Mother Plant alone, they will get killed. You cannot defeat the Mother without a team. She’s way too strong for you.
This death is specific to Strangerville.
Death by The Murphy Bed
Murphy beds tend to break quite often. If your Sim is trying to manually open a broken Murphy Bed, they may get killed.
If you want to avoid this type of random death, upgrade your bed and add the Reinforced Spring Wiring feature.
This dead is specific to Tiny Living.
Death by Urban Myth
Death by Urban Myth was introduced with the High School Years expansion pack.
Summoning an urban legend can be deadly.
You need to reach Level 7 of the Mischief skill to use this interaction.
Death by Vending Machine
If your Sim tries to shake a vending machine, chances are it will tip over and crush them.
When that happens for the first time, they’ll get the Battered & Bruised moodlet. If they shake the machine again, this will be their end.
This death is specific to Snowy Escape.
Death by Wishing Well
Making a wish at the Wishing Well while the well’s mask is Death may result in your Sim’s death.
There’s an 80% Death Outcome chance when the wishing well has a Deadly Face.
Keep in mind that not all wishes have a deadly outcome.
This death is specific to Romantic Garden.
Death by Rabbit
Angry rabbits can kill your Sims. If you repeatedly use negative interactions with wild rabbits, they will attack you.
Your Sim will survive the first attack. But after the second one, they’ll hit the bucket.
This death is specific to Cottage Living.
Death by Chicken
Angry chickens can kill your Sims. They can viciously attack your Sims. After two consecutive attacks, you’ll get a visit from the Grim Reaper.
This death is specific to Cottage Living.
Death by Rabid Rodent Fever
If your Sim likes keeping rodents as pets, they’d better take good care of them. Rodents that live in dirty cages will get Rabid Rodent Fever.
If your Sim gets bitten by a rodent that carries this disease, they’ll get it too.
Once full-blown Rabid Rodent Fever has been triggered, your Sim will die within 24 hours.
