Tip 1: Drop your happy moodlets
Wait until your happy moodlets drop to a low level. Make sure you don’t do anything that could earn your Sim additional happy moodlets so as to avoid boosting the effect of other positive emotions.
In other words, avoid doing anything that may activate the supportive traits that influence how often a Sim is happy. For example, if your Sim loves hiking and spending time outdoors, keep it inside the house as much as possible.
