The-Sims-4-Murphy-bed-death

Death by Murphy bed occurs when your Sim is trying to open a Murphy bed manually. A broken Murphy bed will bounce back and forth a few times crushing your Sim.

Not being able to open the Murphy bed via remote control typically indicates the bed is broken. This increases the chances of your Sim getting crushed when they try to manually open the bed.

Sims can get crushed to death even when sleeping in a Murphy bed, especially if it breaks while your Sim is sleeping.

The bad news is that Murphy beds tend to break quite often.

How do you stop a Sim from dying in a Murphy bed?

The best way to completely avoid Death by Murphy bed in The Sims 4 is to upgrade your bed and add the Reinforced Spring Wiring feature.

This requires a high Handiness kill.

Until you reach that Handiness skill level, using a remote control to open a Murphy bed can help you keep your Sim alive.

Opening a Murphy bed manually doesn’t necessarily mean Death by Murphy bed is bound to happen.

Sims getting crushed and killed by the Murphy bed while attempting to pull it down from the wall are random events.

Your Sim may survive the event and get only an Uncomfortable moodlet after this experience.

The ghost of a Sim that was crushed and killed by a Murphy bed has a Z floating on their chest.

They’re also Scared all the time.

What’s the death rate of Murphy beds in The Sims 4?

The death rate of Murphy beds in The Sims 4 is about 1 in 4 or 25 percent. This means your Sim will get killed in one of four cases where they open the bed manually.

If your Murphy bed has the Reinforced Spring Wiring feature, the death rate is zero.

How do you make a Murphy bed safe in The Sims 4?

The best way to make a Murphy bed safe in The Sims 4 is to upgrade it. Getting the best Murphy bed version available in the game decreases the chances of your Sim getting crushed.

How do you upgrade the Murphy bed in The Sims 4?

To upgrade your Murphy bed in The Sims 4 and make it break less often, get the Spring Loaded feature. You can unlock this feature after reaching Level 3 of the Handiness skill.

The best upgrade to add to your Murphy bed is the Reinforced Spring Wiring. This feature will make the bed unbreakable.

That’s how you can completely avoid Death by Murphy bed.

You need to level up your Sim’s Handiness skill to Level 8 to access this option.
