The Sims 4: How to cause Death by Rock Climbing

Sims-4-fall-to-death

Sims engaged in rock climbing can die from fall damage. They can only die by falling from the Croft Icefall. To get there, you need to reach Level 6 of Rock Climbing skills and have your Sim go on a mountain climbing expedition.

How can Sims die from rock climbing in The Sims 4?

Sims that don’t have the climbing skills necessary to conquer a certain rock wall will often slip and fall. They usually land on their feet and suffer minor injuries.

If they fall again, they’ll sustain severe injuries and won’t be able to do any rock climbing activities for 6 hours. In rare cases, the second fall can be fatal.

The best way to get your Sims to fall to their death while rock climbing is to have them climb in bad weather conditions.

Additionally, don’t use special climbing gear or chalk, and have your Sims climb when they’re exhausted to increase the chances of falling.

Your Sim needs to climb more than a few steps if you want them to fall to their death.

If they fall after the first steps, they’ll get injured but won’t die. As a result, they’ll refuse to climb any further.

If you’re 3/4 on your way to the top of the mountain and your Sim falls, the chances of them dying from fall damage are pretty slim if they already reached Level 8 or 9 of the Rock Climbing skill.

If they’re rock climbing with some friends, they’ll also get mad at one other for failing to reach the top.

If you still want to complete the climb, make sure to psych up your Sim and go back the next day.

⇒ Fun Fact:

  • Servos cannot die from fall damage.

Long story short

Here are the requirements to trigger death by falling in Sims 4:

  • Step 1: Reach Level 6 of the Rock Climbing skill
  • Step 2: Have a previous stage one injury (any injury will do)
  • Step 3: Have your Sim climb the tallest rock wall from the Croft Icefall in bad weather conditions

⇒ Fun fact:

Did you know that you can tell how a Sim died by analyzing their appearance and behavior?

For example, Sims clobbered by a meteorite have a small burning rock inside their chest.

Sims that died from overheating in the sauna are always dehydrated and can absorb puddles.

Learn more about Sim Deaths

If watching your Sims fall to their death doesn’t really appeal to you, you can trigger death by starvation, electrocution, overexertion, fire, Pufferfish, Cowplant, or drowning.

Other potentially deadly activities include drinking Beetle Juice, sniffing a Death Flower bouquet, using the Research Machine, using a vending machine, opening a Murphy Bed, or making a wish at the Wishing Well.

If you have Seasons, Sims can freeze to death, get heatstroke, or get struck by lightning.

The Sims 4 universe is full of angry flies, poisonous bugs, pets infected with Rabid Rodent Fever, and revengeful Mother Plants.

By the way, spellcasters can die of Magic Overload and vampires can burn to a crisp from sun exposure.

Emotional deaths such as Death by Anger, Laughter, and Embarrassment are also interesting options although they require a lot of work to trigger.

If your Sims live in the countryside, angry rabbits and chickens can attack and kill them.

If you want to get rid of teenagers, you’ve got two options: Death by Stink Capsule or Urban Myth.

Well, if your Sims have managed to escape all these dangers, they can’t escape Old Age.

Or maybe they can if you disable this feature.

Happy Simming!
