The Sims 4: Death by Sauna is quick and swift

The-Sims-4-sauna-death

To trigger Death by Sauna in The Sims 4, have your Sims use the sauna when they have the Superfluous Steaming moodlet. You can trigger this buff by having your Sims stay in the sauna for more than 30 minutes.

If Autonomy is on, your Sims will try to get out of the sauna when the Superfluous Steaming moodlet appears on the screen.

Your task is to keep them inside.

You can do that by repeatedly telling your Sims to stay still. Or you can simply block the sauna door.

Basically, your Sims will overheat, dehydrate, and die. This is one of the easiest deaths to make happen in the game.

The ghost of a Sim that died in a sauna can absorb puddles faster than Sims can mop them. This is because they’re very hot and dehydrated.

As you can see, Death by Sauna makes one of the most useful ghosts.

To avoid Death by Sauna, keep your Sims away from steamy rooms while the Superfluous Steaming moodlet is active.

As a quick reminder, this moodlet lasts for 8 hours.

By the way, your Sim cannot own a sauna. They can only visit these establishments to relax their bodies and calm their minds.

⇒ Fun Fact:

What can Sims do in a sauna?

There are two types of saunas available in The Sims 4 Spa Day: the StoneZone Sauna and the Artificial Fever Sauna.

Sims can use saunas to relax. Adult Sims can also woohoo and try for a baby. Teenagers can mess around in saunas.

Sims that try for a baby in the sauna have a 40 percent pregnancy chance.

Using a sauna will trigger the Hot N’ Steamy moodlet which makes Sims flirty.

If your Sim has reached Level 5 of the Mischief skill, they can use the Sabotage with sulfur interaction to prank saunas.

Unfortunately, spending too much time in the sauna can be deadly.

Learn more about Sim Deaths

If watching your Sims getting extremely dehydrated doesn’t really appeal to you, you can trigger death by starvation, electrocution, overexertion, meteorite, fire, Pufferfish, Cowplant, or drowning.

Other potentially deadly activities include drinking Beetle Juice, sniffing a Death Flower bouquet, rock climbing, using the Research Machineusing a vending machine, opening a Murphy Bed, or making a wish at the Wishing Well.

If you have Seasons, Sims can freeze to death, get heatstroke, or get struck by lightning.

The Sims 4 universe is full of angry flies, poisonous bugs, pets infected with Rabid Rodent Fever, and revengeful Mother Plants.

By the way, spellcasters can die of Magic Overload and vampires can burn to a crisp from sun exposure.

Emotional deaths such as Death by Anger, Laughter, and Embarrassment are also interesting options although they require a lot of work to trigger.

If your Sims live in the countryside, angry rabbits and chickens can attack and kill them.

If you want to get rid of teenagers, you’ve got two options: Death by Stink Capsule or Urban Myth.

Well, if your Sims have managed to escape all these dangers, they can’t escape Old Age.

Or maybe they can if you disable this feature.

Happy Simming!
