The Sims 4: How to trigger Death by Beetle Juice

The-Sims-4-death-by-Beetle-Juice

To cause Death by Beetle Juice in The Sims 4, make beetle juice at the bar and have your Sim drink three glasses of juice in a row. This will instantly turn them into a ghost.

Your Sim needs to be a Level 10 Mixologist to be able to make beetle juice.

You need the following ingredients to make this potentially deadly juice: beetle nuggets, 1 carrot, 1 mushroom, 1 potato, 1 tomato, a bunch of spinach, 1 avocado, 1 False Morel mushroom, and 1 Kava root.

As you can see, those bugs that you keep in the insect farms are pretty versatile. You can use them to make compost, eco-friendly fuel, and cook meat-free dishes.

You can even make juice from insect nuggets. However, drinking beetle juice will make your Sims Uncomfortable.

As a quick reminder, this death scenario came with Eco-Lifestyle.

How to revive a Sim that died from drinking Beetle Juice

The quickest way to revive a Sim that died from drinking too much Beetle Juice is to remove the Beetle ghost trait.

Here’s how you can do that:

  1. Press Ctrl, Shift, and C to open the Cheat Console
  2. Type in testingcheats true
  3. Then, type in traits.remove_trait ghost_beetle
  4. Hit Enter to run the cheat command

If you don’t like the idea of using shortcuts to bring your Sims back to life, you can use Ambrosia or plead with the Grim Reaper.

Learn more about Sim Deaths

If Death by Beetle Juice doesn’t really appeal to you, you can trigger death by starvation, electrocution, overexertion, meteorite, fire, Pufferfish, Cowplant, or drowning.

Other potentially deadly activities include sniffing a Death Flower bouquet, rock climbing, using the Research Machine, relaxing in the sauna, using a vending machine, opening a Murphy Bed, or making a wish at the Wishing Well.

If you have Seasons, Sims can freeze to death, get heatstroke, or get struck by lightning.

The Sims 4 universe is full of angry flies, poisonous bugs, pets infected with Rabid Rodent Fever, and revengeful Mother Plants.

By the way, spellcasters can die of Magic Overload and vampires can burn to a crisp from sun exposure.

Emotional deaths such as Death by Anger, Laughter, and Embarrassment are also interesting options although they require a lot of work to trigger.

If your Sims live in the countryside, angry rabbits and chickens can attack and kill them.

If you want to get rid of teenagers, you’ve got two options: Death by Stink Capsule or Urban Myth.

Well, if your Sims have managed to escape all these dangers, they can’t escape Old Age.

Or maybe they can if you disable this feature.

Happy Simming!
