The Sims 4: How to cause Death by Flies

The-Sims-4-death-by-flies

To cause Death by Flies in The Sims 4, go near a dumpster and use the Bond with Flies or Clear Flies interactions. If the flies are angry and your Sim fails to bond with them or make them go away, they’ll get eaten alive.

Death by Flies is a very rare random death that can occur in any neighborhood, irrespective of their eco-footprint.

You may need to use the “Bond with Flies” and “Clear Flies” interactions multiple times to trigger this type of death. Both of these interactions can potentially cause a swarm of angry flies to attack your Sim.

Your Sim has a higher chance of getting attacked by flies if they have low hygiene. Leave dirty plates around, let your trash overflow and prevent your Sim from taking a shower.

They’ll become irresistible to flies.

The ghost of a Sim devoured by flies is always surrounded by flies.

Interestingly enough, they’ll make clearing flies from trash cans and dumpsters their number one afterlife priority. The majority of these interactions with flies and roaches are successful.

How to get a ton of flies to your dumpster

If you’re having trouble finding swarms of flies, let trash pile up in your dumpster. You need an overflowing dumpster to attract flies and trigger Death by Flies.

When a dumpster is full, the option to bond with the flies swarming around it should become available.

You can also add the Recycle and Reduce lot trait. Thanks to this lot trait, trash cans, and dumpsters located outside the lot will also get infested with flies and roaches.

Use a broken CleanBot to spread trash everywhere

Other Simmers came up with a very unique approach to get a ton of trash on their lot and attract flies.

They used a broken CleanBot to spread trash everywhere in the house.

This strategy is guaranteed to quickly attract flies.

Learn more about Sim Deaths

If Death by Flies doesn’t really appeal to you, you can trigger death by starvation, electrocution, overexertion, meteorite, fire, Pufferfish, Cowplant, or drowning.

Other potentially deadly activities include drinking Beetle Juice, sniffing a Death Flower bouquet, rock climbing, using the Research Machine, relaxing in the sauna, using a vending machine, opening a Murphy Bed, or making a wish at the Wishing Well.

If you have Seasons, Sims can freeze to death, get heatstroke, or get struck by lightning.

The Sims 4 universe is full of poisonous bugs, pets infected with Rabid Rodent Fever, and revengeful Mother Plants.

By the way, spellcasters can die of Magic Overload and vampires can burn to a crisp from sun exposure.

Emotional deaths such as Death by Anger, Laughter, and Embarrassment are also interesting options although they require a lot of work to trigger.

If your Sims live in the countryside, angry rabbits and chickens can attack and kill them.

If you want to get rid of teenagers, you’ve got two options: Death by Stink Capsule or Urban Myth.

Well, if your Sims have managed to escape all these dangers, they can’t escape Old Age.

Or maybe they can if you disable this feature.

Happy Simming!
