If your Sim keeps getting shocked or scared reactions from other Sims and they’re wearing CC, this indicates their clothing is incorrectly categorized. Modded outfits are sometimes flagged improperly and the game thinks your Sim is naked. This makes townies react in shock and gasp at your Sim.
Your Sim might start feeling embarrassed after getting so many shocked or scared reactions.
To quickly solve this problem, try dressing your Sim in something else.
Modded outfits are not the only thing that can make other Sims fear your Sim.
Why do Sims keep gasping at my Sim?
Sims will gasp in shock when a kleptomaniac swipes something. Check who’s around, what they’re doing, and, most importantly, what traits they have. That should help you identify the thief.
If your Sim is an occult, other Sims may suddenly display shocked or scared reactions when meeting your Sim. Some Sims are scared of spellcasters and often make disgusted noises and faces at vampires.
There is also a curse called the Curse of Repulsiveness that makes other Sims be disgusted by your Sim and stay away from them.
Try to get your hands on a Potion of Curse Cleansing to get rid of this annoying spell. You need one apple, one citrine, one Angelfish, and one mandrake to make the Potion of Curse Cleansing.
Your Sim also needs to be an Acolyte Spellcaster to prepare this special potion.
You can harvest all of these ingredients or simply buy them from the Potion Shop in Caster’s Alley.
Sims will get the Scared moodlet when a werewolf turns nearby. If you own Werewolves, look around and check if you see any werewolves near your Sim.
