Unfiltry Sims can have relationships and get married. The only difference is that it takes a bit more time for them to develop romantic relationships and often need the right atmosphere to do so – unlike Sims that don’t have this trait.
Unflirty Sims can get married without any problem, there is no need to use cheats or other methods that alter the clean game to do this. Keep in mind that Unflirty does not mean your Sims are not capable of flirting.
It just means this won’t come to them naturally, they need to spend more time around Sims they feel attracted to and need the right setting to accept romantic interactions and engage in flirts.
Arrange dining at home, bring some wine to the table and you’ll be surprised just how quickly the Flirty moodlet shows up.
Unflirty Sims can get flirty instantly when they dine out during a restaurant date.
You can also use emotional aura items to trigger the Flirty moodlet. Sims that use the Bubble Blower to inhale the Passionfruit Potion flavor twice will get Flirty.
Increase friendship first
The key to helping an Unflirty Sim get romantically involved with another Sim is to increase the friendship bar first. Ideally, the two should become best friends. Don’t try to flirt with them in public. That makes them uncomfortable.
If the friendship level is high enough, Unflirty Sims should not turn down any romantic interactions. But if the two start fighting, you can say farewell to any romantic interactions for a long, long time.
Tips to get an Unflirty Sim to become flirty
- Take a bath with rose petals to unlock the romance interactions.
- At a restaurant, order cupid juice and watch how they change their attitude after the first sip.
- Once the friendship bar is maxed out, offer them some compliments on their appearance. Unflirty Sims really appreciate this type of compliment.

What to expect from an Unflirty Sim
Unflirty Sims won’t hold back from rejecting people in public. Getting romantically involved with them takes a lot more time than it would normally take with Sims that don’t have this trait.
They have a series of special romantic actions such as an unflirty introduction, blowing a timid kiss, anxiously confessing attraction, being reluctant when holding hands or embracing another Sim, asking for a massage in an awkward manner, behaving nervously when asking another Sim to be their boyfriend or girlfriend, and so on.
Long story short, they’ll behave in a socially awkward manner when engaging in romantic interactions.
Building a romantic relationship with an Unflirty Sim is quite challenging. But if you like challenges, follow the tips above and Unflirty Sims will fall for you in no time.
Speaking of romantic relationships, it is worth mentioning that open relationships are not supported in The Sims 4.
