Can Sims get jealous in The Sims 4?
Sims can become jealous if their romantic feelings are not shared or they suspect or learnt their partner is unfaithful. Jealous Sims will often get angry to the point of fighting.
Depending on their other traits, they can also become mean with other Sims. If Sims fall prey to fits of jealousy, their relationship with their partner is severely harmed.
If your Sim observes their partner engaging in unfaithful behavior with another Sim, they’ll get furious at both the cheating partner and the Sim that their partner was cheating with.
What’s interesting is that Sims can get jealous even if there’s no romantic relationship whatsoever between them and the Sims that triggered their fit of jealousy.

Jealousy reactions are just too real
Your Sim can get jealous even if their partner is only the target of romantic interaction and they’re not initiating the interaction.
If your Sim has the jealous trait, they will definitely get jealous more easily than Sims that do not have this trait.
If they don’t get to see their partner for a while, they’ll get tense and become more suspicious worrying about what their partner might be doing.
On the other hand, unlike other Sims, they’ll get a huge confidence boost just by being around their romantic partner.
Do noncommittal Sims get jealous?
A noncommittal Sim does not usually get jealous. But when a bit of jealousy starts creeping them out, they’ll be relieved to break up with their partner as a consequence.
How to make Sims not jealous in The Sims 4
To stop your Sim from getting jealous, you can use the MCCC. Also, by completing the Serial Romantic aspiration, your Sim gets the Player trait. Sims with the Player trait don’t get jealous if their partner flirts with other Sims.
Jealous Sims often refuse to do anything
It’s not uncommon for jealous Sims to refuse to do anything. They’ll become hesitant and refuse to do what you ask them to simply because they’re Tense.
Surprisingly, many Simmers find this trait enjoyable to play with. It adds drama and creates more complex relationship storylines than they would have experienced otherwise.
