To become Best Friends with another Sim in The Sims 4, you need to level up your relationship bar to at least 80%. You can do that by using Friendly and Funny interactions.
Once the option to Become Best Friends is available, click on it to ask the other Sim if they want to become best friends with you.
The new status will unlock additional interactions in the game.
For example, your friends can text and call you, and invite you to hang out with them.
The hang-out option will come in handy, especially if festivals won’t show up in your game.

How does the friendship level evolve in The Sims 4?
There are four friendship levels in The Sims 4:
- Acquaintances

- Best Friends
Once the friendship bar exceeds 39% percent, you become Friends with the other Sim. You’re no longer acquaintances.
Once the 60 percent friendship threshold has been reached, you’ll get a notification confirming you just became Good Friends with that Sim.
Keep on using Friendly interactions and spend time with that Sim to further level up your friendship bar. Keep an eye on the green bar progressing to the right and the reactions of the Sim you’re interacting with.
If they disliked a particular interaction, don’t use it again. Apologize and go back to using Friendly interactions.
Falling out of touch with your best friend will lower your friendship bar. Friendships decay if you don’t spend time with your friends.

What cheats can I use to become Best Friends with a Sim?
You can use the ModifyRelationship Sim1 Name Sim2 Name 100 LTR_Friendship_Main cheat command to level up your relationship with another Sim and become best friends.
Press Ctrl, Shift, and C and type in testingcheats true to enable cheat codes. Then, enter the ModifyRelationship cheat and press Enter.
Click on the Sim you want to become best friends with and ask them if they like this idea.
