Werewolves are mortal in The Sims 4. To become immortal, you need to reach the Apex rank and unlock the Immortal Wolf ability.
Werewolves that possess the Immortal Wolf ability will live forever. They become immune to old age and death. As long as the moon remains, so shall you.
However, Apex-level pack leaders are not immune to death from the get-go. Your werewolf Sim becomes immortal only after unlocking the Immortal Wolf ability.
If the leader of the pack dies before naming a successor, many gameplay options become unavailable.
What happens when the pack leader dies in The Sims 4?
When the pack leader dies in Sims 4 Werewolves, the game won’t generate a new Alpha to replace them. It won’t pick one of the existing pack members as a leader either.
If your Sim is in that pack, you can claim pack leadership and become the leader of the group. To do that, click on the pack hangout, and select Claim Pack Leadership.
As you can see, if the Alpha of the pack dies before naming a successor or you accidentally delete them, many of the gameplay options related to werewolves will become unavailable.
How to bring a dead pack leader back to life in The Sims 4
If you don’t want to step in and become the Alpha werewolf, you can try to resurrect the pack leader. You can use Ambrosia to revive them. But first, you’ll need to convince their ghost to visit the pack hangout and eat the Ambrosia dish.
As a quick reminder, you need to reach Level 10 of the Gourmet Cooking skill to unlock the Ambrosia recipe.
How to add a new pack leader if you deleted the Alpha in Sims 4
If you accidentally deleted the pack leader, you can download them from the gallery and use cheats to make them active members of the pack.
Follow the steps below to add a new pack leader in Sims 4:
- Download Rory or Kristopher from the gallery
- Play as them and use these cheats to make them the pack leader:
- traits.equip_trait trait_WerewolfPackA
- traits.equip_trait trait_WerewolfPackA_Leader
- Note: Replace packA with packB if you’re a member of The Wildfangs. PackA stands for Moonwood Collective, and packB for the Wildfangs.
- Navigate to Worlds and make them as unplayed
- Play as them again, and use this cheat:
- traits.equip_trait trait_WerewolfPackA_Member
- Play as your own werewolf, interact with the pack leader, and take their place
Once you’ve become the Alpha of the pack, you can safely delete the werewolf you downloaded from the Gallery.
If being a pack leader becomes too exhausting, you can give up the role.
