Teenage Sims like to be independent. You can help them transition into adulthood faster by having them live on their own.
Can a teenager live by themselves in Sims 4?
Teenagers can live by themselves in The Sims 4. You can have them move to a different household and live independently. You can also send teenagers to live by themselves straight from CAS. It’s possible to have teen-only households.
Teens can live alone when the last adult in the household dies. They can also take care of their younger siblings and become their caregivers.
Teens living on their own still need to go to school and pay the bills.
I don’t like sending my teen Sims to work. Getting a part-time job is a big no-no for me when I’m playing with teenage Sims.
What I do instead is focus on a hobby that can help them earn some money. Hobbies such as painting can bring in more money than a part-time job. That’s my go-to strategy to help teenage Sims make ends meet.
Since you can have teens live on their own, you can also make all your club members teens if that’s what you want.
How to make a teenager live alone in Sims 4
- Navigate to Manage Worlds
- Go to Manage Households
- Select the household where your teen lives
- Click on Transfer Sims between households
- Select an existing household or create a new one
- Select the teen you want to transfer
- Hit the transfer arrow
Alternatively, you can also click on the Phone icon and select Split From Household and Move. Teens can also take other household members with them when moving out.
Can teenage Sims move in together in Sims 4?
Teenage Sims can invite other teenagers to move in together in The Sims 4. This option is available in the Friendly menu. To unlock it, you need to level up the Friendship bar through friendly or romantic interactions.
Alternatively, you can simply go to household management and move the teen Sim into the household of another teenager.
