Big-Sister-challenge-Sims-4

The Big Sister Challenge is a Sims 4 challenge where you need to create a teenage female Sim and her younger sibling and have them live together as a family. The teenage Sim will play the role of the bigger sister for their younger sibling. She needs to earn money and raise her little sibling.

How do you do the Big Sister challenge in Sims 4?

To play the Big Sister Challenge in The Sims 4, you need to follow these rules:

  • Start on a 20×15 empty lot in Oasis Springs
  • Spend 6,000 Simoleons on the house and furniture
  • Spend up to 1,000 Simoleons on building a garden, and make sure to add at least 2 potter boxes
  • The house must have 2 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom, and 1 study room
  • The siblings are orphans, their parents are dead but they can return to the lot and interact with their children as ghosts
  • The bigger sister can have any traits you want but she needs to have the Big Happy Family aspiration
  • The little sibling can have any traits you like
  • The siblings can interact and build relationships only with other teenagers and kids
  • They can interact with adults and elders only after the older sister has aged up to a young adult
  • The older sister is not allowed to go to school
  • She needs to find a way to make money: she can either get a job or make money through hobbies
  • Go to Game Options and set the Sim Lifespan to Long
  • You can move houses when you have enough funds but the younger sibling is not allowed to move out

How to make the Big Sister Challenge even more difficult

You can add stricter rules to make the Big Sister challenge even more challenging.

  • Their parents are either abusive or irresponsible
  • They’re very much alive but they’re either tormenting or abusing their kids
  • You start on an empty lot with no money whatsoever
  • The siblings can’t cook or attend school

As you can see, things get even more complicated with these rules. The older sister is left with very few options to raise her little sibling.

Do you think she’s up to the task?

By the way, if you’ve come across other variations of the Big Sister Challenge, feel free to list the rules in the comments below.
