Not everybody likes going to school. The same is valid in The Sims 4. While teenage Sims can level up their skills by attending high school classes, that’s not a priority for most of them.

Teenagers just want to have fun, interact with other teens and figure themselves out.

Instead of spending 6 hours at school, many teenage Sims would rather hang out with their friends or focus on making money.

Can my teenage Sim drop out of high school in Sims 4?

Sims can drop out of high school in The Sims 4. To drop out of high school, go to the Principal’s office, interact with her and use the Drop Out of High School option. You can also click on her computer and select Drop Out of High School.

Alternatively, you can age up your teenage Sims to young adults or simply skip classes.

On a side note, dropping out of university is a lot simpler. All you need to do is bring up the phone, select College and then click on Drop Out.

What happens if a teenager doesn’t go to school in Sims 4?

If a teenage Sim skips classes, they’ll get called to the principal’s office. The principal will inform them that their grades will suffer if they keep skipping classes.

Getting low grades will trigger the Embarrassed buff.

If you’re not opposed to modding, you can use MCCC to quit school.

MCCC Teens Quit School

There is also a mod that lets teens drop out of high school in The Sims 4. Install MCCC, click on the computer, and go to MC Career. Then, select the option that lets teens quit school and hit the Enable button.

Then, click on your Sim, select MCCC, go to Sim Commands and select Quit School.

Save your progress, and restart your game to apply the changes.

Your teenage Sim is now free to do the things they like instead of wasting precious hours of their life in the classroom.

Quitting school, skipping classes, or not working hard enough to get good grades can limit your Sim’s career options. If your Sim is not interesting in having a successful career, that should not be a problem.

And now you know.
