What’s new in New Year, New Hassle?
The new year marks the beginning of a new challenge for your Sims. They can start a new hustle, build new marketable skills, and earn a lot of money.
If you think now is the right time to start making some big changes for a more prosperous future, then dive into this time-limited scenario.
There are two potential outcomes to this challenge:
- Reach Level 5 of any skill and earn 25K Simoleons
- Reach Level 3 of any career
It’s either one or the other. You don’t need to pursue both objectives. Basically, you can choose between pursuing a career or a full-time hobby.
How to tackle this scenario
Pursuing a full-time hobby or hustle is more fun when playing the New Year, New Hassle scenario.
For example, you can have your Sim focus on one specific skill and set of activities all day long to quickly build up their skill up to Level 5.
If they focus all their energy and time on the same thing every day, they’ll quickly level up their skill.
New Year, New Hassle with a focus on Gardening skill
I personally started the New Year, New Hassle scenario focusing on building my Sim’s Gardening skill. Growing plants is my favorite thing to do in Sims 4.
I also have Cottage Living installed which means I can grow oversized crops and sell them for a lot of money to reach the 25K target faster.
I selected the Loner, and Loves Outdoors traits to make it easier for my Sim to focus on growing plants without getting distracted by other needs and activities.
Equally important, I made sure my Sim’s day revolved around plants, and I particularly focused on growing oversized crops.
Then, I sold the crops and managed to reach the 25K target pretty quickly.
