Scenarios are a new Sims 4 feature that challenges players to dive into pre-made Challenge Scenarios. If you’ve played community challenges, you’ll quickly get the hang of the new Challenge Scenarios.
How do Scenarios work in The Sims 4?
Each scenario comes with its own rules and requirements. You then need to work your way up to complete the challenge.
To start a scenario, launch The Sims 4, go to the main launcher screen and select New Scenario. The game will display all the Challenge Scenarios available. Select an existing save or create a new one and take on the challenge.
When you launch a scenario with a new save, the game automatically places you into Create-a-Sim. You can then create your household as usual.
Move into a neighborhood and start working on completing the challenge.
⇒ Note: The first two Scenarios, Making Money and Finding Love After a Breakup, support only new households. But they’ll support existing saves later on.
Scenario rules and requirements
You can click on the View button to learn more about the respective scenario. The information panel will give you more details about the steps to follow, scenario requirements, and other useful information.
Keep in mind that certain scenarios will keep things hidden and won’t show specific requirements to let you discover potential outcomes by yourself.
The main Scenario goal is permanently visible in the left-hand corner of the screen. For example, in the Making Money scenario, the end goal is to make one million Simoleons.
Once your Sims have completed a scenario, they’ll get Satisfaction Points. You can then spend the Points in the Rewards Store.
Some scenarios have multiple possible outcomes. They activate depending on the choices you make. It’s up to you to decide how you want to achieve the main goal.
There’s more than one way to complete a Scenario.
Limited-time scenarios
While most of the scenarios will be available anytime, there are also limited-time scenarios. The first two are Too Many Toddlers and Perfectly Well-Rounded.
