To make nectar in Sims 4, buy a Rootin’ Fruit’n Nectar Maker and place it on your lot. Click on it and select Craft Nectar. Then, choose the ingredients you want to use.
You can use fruits, vegetables, and even garbage to make nectar.
For example, you can make nectar from berries, grapes, apples, strawberries, potatoes, prairie grass, garbage, and more.
Vampires, Werewolves, and Spellcasters have access to special Nectar recipes.
Werewolves can craft Moonpetal Nectar, Vampires can make Plasma Nectar using Plasma Fruit, and Spellcasters can craft Valerian Nectar.
After choosing the ingredients, Sim will take their shoes off, jump right in the Nectar barrel and start squishing up that fruit.
If you don’t have a lot of space to plant seeds and grow your garden to get the ingredients for making Nectar, you can build a vertical garden.
Level Up Your Nectar-Making Skill
Nectar Making is a skill that your Sim can hone with time. As you make more Nectar and experiment with different recipes, the better the end product will be.
If you’re new to Nectar making, you’ll be able to make only Fruit Nectar. Any fruit will do.
You’ll probably fall into the Nectar barrel when making Nectar for the very first time.
As you level up your Nectar-making skill, you’ll unlock new recipes and can try different Nectar flavors.
Nectar Can Influence Your Sim’s Emotions
There are different types of Nectar that your Sim can make and they have different effects on your Sims.
The Strawberry Nectar can make your Sims Flirty.
The Energy Nectar will make your Sims feel very Energized.
Grape Nectar makes your Sims feel Confident.
Apple Nectar makes Sims feel Inspired.
Your Sims won’t get drunk after drinking Nectar, but they’ll feel a bit different.
Drinking too much Nectar will make Sims Dazed. This event will also trigger the Drinked Too Much Nectar milestone.
That’s something your Sim will always remember.
When you open a Nectar bottle, it will only last a few days before it spoils. You’ll get multiple servings of Nectar from a single bottle.
If you’re in a hurry, you can drink straight out of the bottle.
When a Foodie Sim sees another Sim chug nectar out of a bottle, they’ll get a funny sentiment about that view.
When a Snob Sim will see your Sim drink Nector straight from the bottle, they’ll get mortified.
By the way, even animals will react differently when near Sims that have drunk Nectar.
Sell Nectar to Make Money
If you want to make a lot of money, you can sell Nectar. To increase the quality and value of Nectar, let it age in a Nectar Rack in your basement.
Nectar accumulates value as it ages. This means you can sell it for even more Simoleons.
There are four levels of nectar aging:
- Not Yet Aged
- Lightly Aged
- Moderately Aged
- Finely Aged
Finely Aged Nectar will fetch you the highest profit.
A bottle of finely aged Vitaly Nectar is worth 17,000 Simoleons.
To store Nectar, buy the Rancher’s Stackable Nectar Storage Rack. Its primary function is to store Nectar to allow it to age faster.
You can put Nectar Storage Racks on top of the other to save space.
Nectar making can be a cash flow for your Sims. Of course, if you don’t want to turn this activity into a profile business, you can keep it as a hobby.
Keep in mind that you need the Horse Ranch expansion pack to be able to make Nectar.
You can find the Rootin’ Fruit’n Nectar Maker in the Activities and Skills section. You can buy it for 350 Simoleons.
Happy Simming!
