How to make money in The Sims 4: High School Years

In this guide, I’ll explain to you how you can make money in The Sims 4: High School Years. Your teenage Sim can earn a lot of money by following the business ideas below.

How can I make money in Sims 4 High School Years?

To make a lot of money in Sims 4 High School Years, you can become a Simfluencer or video game streamer. These are the highest-paying career paths that teenage Sims can pursue in their high school years. You get paid straight away for being a streamer or Simfluencer.

Alternatively, you can pursue a regular job and work part-time as a babysitter, barista, fast food employee, retail employee, or manual laborer. But you won’t earn as much money.

As a Simfluencer, you can do product reviews in exchange for money. The more followers you get, the more money you earn.

As a video game streamer, you get to play your favorite games for fun and profit.

Joining the Cheer, Chess, Computer or Football team are unpaid activities, they won’t get you any money.

If your teenage Sim has a webcam and a hint of personality, they can become a Simfluencer and earn money online. As they become more popular and influential, big companies will search them out to promote their products.

A beginner Simfluencer or Nano-Simfluencer can earn $26/hour.

Teenage Simfluencers can start their career by reviewing lifestyle objects such as chess boards, painting easels, and so on.

Use Social Bunny and Trendi to grow your followership

The High School Years expansion adds two social media apps to The Sims 4: Social Bunny and Trendi. Both are available as phone interactions.

Social Bunny is a full-fledged social media system. Your Sim can add new posts, check their feed, tag friends, and message other Sims.

Trendi is a fashion marketplace where you can create looks based on the things you find in the thrift shop. You can then use your social media account to hype your outfits up and sell them to make a profit.

The Social Bunny app and the Trendi app go hand in hand.

How to make more money selling stuff on Trendi

As you advance in the Simfluencer career and level up your Entrepreneur and Charisma skills, your outfits will become more popular and you’ll be able to sell them for a higher price tag.

Have your teenage Sim pursue the video game streamer career

If your Sim is an aspiring video game streamer, they can select a special Simtuber avatar and start streaming on SimTube. They get to play video games for fun and profit. A beginner game streamer can earn $20/hour.

To be a successful video game streamer, your Sim needs slick moves and an excellent Comedy skill level.

Dual monitor systems and curved screens for streamers

By the way, The Sims 4 now supports dual monitor systems and super-wide curved screens. They’re perfect for streamer setups.

If your Sim is a streamer, you can bet they’ll love the new monitors.

By the way, if you get the Sims 4 High School Years before September 8th, 2022, you’ll get a special gaming chair as well as a special LED panel.

Your Sim can use them to build a fancy video streaming office.

If your Sim is a video game streamer, they can use the Social Bunny app to boast about their achievements and interact with their followers.

The more followers they get, the more money they can make streaming video games.

Which pays better: being a Simfluencer or game streamer?

Simfluencers can earn more money than video game streamers. A beginner Simfluencer or Nano-Simfluencer earns $26/hour, while a beginner video game streamer or casual steamer earns $20/hour. There’s a $6 difference between them at the very beginning of their careers.

Get a regular job

If becoming a teen Simfluencer or video game streamer doesn’t appeal to you at all, you can pursue a regular career path. Your teenage Sim can work part-time as a babysitter, barista, fast food employee, retail employee, or manual laborer.

Choosing one of these career paths will trap your Sim into the rat race.

You may want to think twice before embarking on an outdated career path.

With that being said, I’ll end this quick guide here.
