The Sims 4 High School Years expansion pack brings two new phone interactions: Social Bunny and Trendi.
Let’s take a quick look at the Social Bunny app and explore how your Sim can use it to become a Simfluencer.
What does the Social Bunny app do in Sims 4?
Social Bunny is a full-fledged social media system in The Sims 4. There are five main options on Social Bunny:
- Add new post
- Tag a Sim
- Check your feed
- Check your list of friends
- Send a message
There are four types of messages that you can send via Social Bunny: friendly, flirty, funny, and mean.
They align with the four categories of interactions available in the game: friendly, romantic, funny, and mean.
When you open the Social Bunny app for the first time, go to the Friends section and add people you’ve met to your contact list. When you open their Sim profile later, the game will mention that you’re Social Bunny friends.
How to send a message via Social Bunny
To send a message via the Social Bunny app, select the Phone icon and then select the Social Bunny app. Then, select Send a message and pick the Sim you want to send a message to.
There are four main categories of messages that you can send:
- Friendly message: Send a quick note to stay in touch or let someone know you care
- Flirty message: Slide into those DMs when Cupid’s arrow needs a bit of help finding its target
- Funny message: Share a bit of humor, one joke at a time
- Mean message: Don’t hold back. Let someone you don’t like them. Backhanded compliments are encouraged.
You can also send direct messages, tag other Sims in your posts, and so on.
Add a new post on Social Bunny
You can communicate with other Sims and keep them up to date about your activities. Simply add a new post whenever you’ve got something to share.
For example, Sims can post book reviews on Social Bunny. They can also post about the latest place they visited.
You can also take selfies of just yourself or ask a friend to get into the picture too.
Happy and Sad narratives on Social Bunny
There are also two types of narrative that you can choose from posting on Social Bunny: Happy and Sad.
Use the Happy Narrative to share how happy a particular event has made you feel. Select the Sad Narrative to tell the world how sad an event has made you feel and share this sadness with the world.
By the way, you can even like your own posts on Social Bunny.
Streamers can use Social Bunny to show off
If your Sim is a video game streamer, they can use Social Bunny to boast about their achievements. Your followers can interact with you on Social Bunny.
Social Bunny and Trendi go hand in hand
If your Sim is an aspiring Simfluencer, they can use Social Bunny to promote the outfits they’re selling on Trendi.
Try out the outfits you’re selling, take a selfie and post it on Social Bunny. Selling Fashion Looks will bring you more followers.
As you can see, the Social Bunny and Trendi apps go hand in hand.
Disable notifications or deactivate Social Bunny
If you need to take a break from Social Bunny, you can disable notifications or simply deactivate your Social Bunny account.
