After getting a divorce and ending their marriage, your Sim will get the Sad moodlet and so will their ex-spouse.
If the marriage ended because of an affair, the spouse that got cheated on will also get the Very Angry moodlet.

After a divorce, you should split the finances, and move one Sim out of the household.
The unfaithful spouse should move into their own household or move in with the person they cheated with.

Your Sims will get a negative moodlet every time they cross paths in the kitchen or the living room.
By the way, if you own Get Together, you can create a club with all the family members and friends and have them visit the Sim that got divorced to boost their morale.
