Sims-4-Surviving-The-Holidays-scenario

Surviving the Holidays is an interesting Sims 4 scenario that challenges you to turn a roommate you hate into an “enemy with benefits” or bury the hatchet completely.

Surviving the Holidays: Friends or Foes?

The scenario debuts with two Sims that hold grudges again each other. To make things worse, they are stuck living together and have to  share the same house. This means they’ll need to interact with each other quite frequently.

The two Sims share a common intricate backstory involving gnomes and real estate scams. That’s how they got stuck together. Unfortunately, they’re both too stubborn to move out and are force to find a way to mend their differences. Because of Christmas, they should at least try to get along a bit better.

To complete the challenge, you need to turn the enemies into friends. At the end of the day, the two should not have any negative feeling towards each other.

Another way to successfully complete the challenge is to turn the two Sims into “enemies with benefits”. Yes, they can get involved romantically and become “enemies with benefits”.

How to play Sims 4 Surviving The Holidays

Sims-4-Surviving-The-Holidays-Challenge

  1. Launch the game and click on New Scenario.
  2. Then select the Surviving the Holidays scenario.
  3. Create two new adult Sims and make sure they’re not related.
  4. Select a place to live and launch the scenario.
  5. Use friendly interactions to bury the hatchet and stop holding a grudge against each other.

For example, you can apologize, ask the other Sim what their problem is and learn more about what’s bothering them. You can also use the Brighten Day interaction in an attempt to end festering grudges.

If you want to add fuel to the fire, you can use negative interactions such as:

  • Yell at
  • Throw Drink
  • Insult
  • Shout forbidden words
  • Order to clean
  • Argue about music
  • Fight
  • Imply mother is a llama

Although I don’t know what those cute llamas from Cottage Living have done wrong to be included on the list of insults.

If you want to quickly escalate things, you can use the Fight interaction to start a nasty fight and create even deeper grudges.
