Your Sim can moonbathe on all moon phases. Click on your Sim and select the Moonbathe option to have them experience the effects of various moon phases.
If you want a group of Sims to moonbathe, you need to bring them together and tell them to moonbathe individually. There’s no option available for Sims to moonbathe with other Sims or invite others to join them.
Moonbathing gives your Sim a positive buff that varies depending on the phases of the moon.
The phases of the moon affect occults as well. Aliens will always get a Happy moodlet when moonbathing. It doesn’t matter if it’s a full moon or a new moon. Spending time under the moon light always makes aliens happy.
What does moonbathing do in The Sims 4?
Depending on the phases of the moon, Sims will get the following buffs when moonbathing:
- New Moon: +1 Inspired Buff
- First Quarter Moon: +1 Happy buff
- Full Moon: +1 Flirty Buff
- Waxing Crescent Moon: +1 Energized Buff
- Waxing Gibbous Moon: +1 Playful buff
- Waning Gibbous Moon: +1 Confident Buff
- Waning Crescent Moon: + Focused buff
- Third Quarter Moon: + 1 Happy buff
If your Sim is a werewolf, the full moon has additional effects on their mood. Werewolves gain Fury under the full moon.
If you know that your werewolf is having trouble controlling their Fury, it’s best to keep them inside the den on full moon nights.
When Fury reaches maximum intensity, they’ll turn and start rampaging. Werewolves are uncontrollable when rampaging.
