To reflect a new experience of having Sims of different ages interact with each other, Growing Together brings important changes in terms of social interaction options.
This expansion pack adds new interactions for all the members of your Sim family.
Many of these new interaction options are specific to a particular age group.
For example, infants have special ways to express needs, emotions, and sentiments.
What can Elders do in The Sims 4 Growing Together?
The Sims 4 Growing Together adds a series of new interactions for elder Sims.
These include:
- Sneak a Treat
- You’re my favorite
- Aren’t you the sweetest little thing?
- Reminisce on good times
- Give lessons on money, friendship, love, hard work, dreams, family, misbehavior, and responsibility
Sim Elders can take a good power walk around the park with their group of friends. Their grandchildren can tag along. Everyone is welcome to a good power walk session.
Elders can also play puzzle games at the Recreation Center and socialize with other Sims.
They’re the best at Giving Life Lessons, and Reminiscing on Good Times.
You know what they say: You’re not growing older, you’re growing wiser!
Many grandparents have a favorite grandchild they like to sneak treats to.
The parents may disagree but they don’t need to know everything that’s going on in the household.
Or outside the household for that matter!
Give life lessons to increase character value
Elder Sims can impart their knowledge and wisdom to their grandchildren. They can give lessons on friendship, love, money, hard work, dreams, family, misbehavior, and responsibility
If you give a life lesson to a child and have Parenthood installed, this action will increase the corresponding character value.
For example, if you give a life lesson on responsibility, that kid will grow up into a responsible adult.
This makes parenting so much easier.

- Elders are the caretakers of the family’s Keepsake Box. Sims can use these special boxes to store precious photos of family events.
The new interactions make Elders fun
The new options for Elders come as a breath of fresh air.
I’m sure these changes will make playing with elder Sims much more interesting.
I personally hated playing with Elders up until this pack was released. This was mainly due to the limited gameplay options available for elders.
There are many things that Elders can no longer do or activities they can’t engage in anymore.
Instead of “helping” Elders meet their maker, I’m now exploring new gameplay possibilities and interactions.
