The-Sims-4-Growing-Together-San-Sequoia

San Sequoia is a world available in The Sims 4 Growing Together expansion pack. This world is located along an ocean bay.

It’s the perfect place for an oceanside getaway with the whole family.

San Sequoia brings a ton of outdoor open space areas where Sims can gather together with family and friends.

This was once a small fishing village but now it’s a busy town with lots of suburban areas and open spaces.

There’s also a bridge in San Sequoia that resembles the one in San Francisco. You’ll also find a lighthouse in this world.

This is the third lighthouse in The Sims 4 after Brindleton Bay and Tartosa.

⇒ Fun Fact:

Gilbert Gilberts is the founding father of San Sequoia. He brought the fishing trade to the area.

He’s also responsible for the deforestation of the area.

There are three neighborhoods in San Sequoia:

  • Anchorpoint Wharf
  • Gilbert Gardens
  • Hopewell Hills

There’s a total of 12 lots in this world.

The lot sizes vary from 30×20 to 64×64. There are six 30×20 lots, one 40×20 lot, one 40×30 lot, two 50×40 lots, and one 64×64 lot.

Let’s explore the main attraction points in each neighborhood.

Anchorpoint Wharf

Anchorpoint Wharf has an urban vibe to it. There’s a square area where you can play the piano.

There’s also a food stand where you order delicious food.

Go to the Wharf’s refurbished movie theater

Sims can visit the movie theater and watch a variety of movie genres.

You can bring your date to the movie theater and watch a romantic movie together.

While you, as a player, can’t tag along and enter the movie theater, you’ll get notified about what’s going on and how your Sims feel about the entire movie experience.

Depending on your Sims’ personalities, there’s a chance they may like or dislike certain genres.

For example, a Sim that doesn’t like children will probably dislike family comedies and kids’ movies.

If you want to have a successful date night, make sure to select a movie that both Sims will like.

Visit the toddler-friendly library

Anchorpoint Wharf is the place where you can find a really cool children-friendly library.

There’s a play mat in the library where toddlers can play and level up their motor skills.

There’s also a public changing table that you can use whenever you need.

The library has an awesome play area filled with toys and bright colors.

By the way, the local library is filled with children’s books. If your Sim’s kids love reading, do take them there.

⇒ Fun Fact:

  • The Anchorpoint Wharf library was built by Deligracy.

Gilbert Gardens

There’s a lake in the Gilbert Gardens neighborhood where you can fish and swim.

Just keep an eye on that white crocodile lurking in the water. That creature can be dangerous.

There’s a nice area where you can do some group walking. That’s great for elder Sims.

Visit the Whalebert public splash pad play area

The attraction point of the area is the splash pad.

This is the place where you can find Whalebert, the cute blue whale. Sims can play in the water, stomp playfully or just sit down and relax.

You can also go fishing with the whole family, grab a bite, or splish and splash at Whalebert’s public splash pad play area.

The splash pad is a great place to bring your dog if you own the Cats and Dogs expansion pack.

The best part is that all the items used to build the splash pad in the neighborhood are available in the Catalog.

This means you can design and build your own splash pad on your lot.

Toddlers that have the Loves Water quirk will love spending time at Whalebert’s public splash pad play area.

Three walking paths for elder Sims

There are three different walking paths in Gilbert Gardens with different lengths of trails.

Elders can use them to go on a walk with their friends and remain physically active.

There’s a really nice walking path near the lake, that’s the biggest one.

There’s one around the pond, which is the smallest one.

The third walking path is near the Arboretum. This is a middle-size path.

Elders can walk around the Arboretum, go for a power walk, or jog around the area.

Elders can go on a power walk as a group. That’s an excellent way to keep your Sims motivated to stay active. Kids can tag along too.

You’ll notice that elders will stop along the way from to time to drink a sip of water and stretch for a few seconds.

They can also go on a Reflective Walk if they need more time alone to think about the important things in life

Hopewell Hills

Hopewell Hills is a residential area. It’s a mix of modern and traditional craftsman-style homes. That’s where the Michaelsons and the influential Robleses live.

Yes, you read that right. Growing Together adds new two NPC families.

Hopewell Hills is basically a sleepy suburb. You can find lots of spaced-out houses and lots of trees and green areas.

You can visit the Urban Park where children can run, play and ride their bikes all day.

That’s the best place to learn how to ride a bike if they haven’t acquired that skill yet.

There’s a lovely pond in the area where you can do a little bit of fishing.

You can also find the statue of one of the founding fathers of the area near the pond. He’s got his angle in his hands proudly displaying the fish he caught.

There’s also the Marina Bay area where you can walk onto the pontoon and breath in the fresh air.

Visit the Recreation Center from Gilbert Gardens

Growing Together brings a new lot venue type, namely the Rec Center. Sims can spend family time at the Rec Center and play games such as Simbles and puzzles.

The Rec Center is like a central place where you can do all kinds of fun and recreational activities.

You can play musical instruments, show off your artistic skills and make art, or just hang out with your friends.

There are plenty of game tables available at the Rec Center where Sims can play puzzles and Simbles.

You can click on the table and change the game to cards or puzzles.

You can work on puzzles all day long

If you select puzzles, there are a lot of options available. You can choose to do a 50, 100, or 250-piece puzzle with animals, fantasy, Sci-Fi, landscapes, and so on.

You can also choose the option that lets you customize the puzzle from reference. This allows you to take a picture, and that becomes a puzzle that your Sim works on.

Once a puzzle has been finished, you can hang it on the wall or put it in your Keepsake Box.

Steal puzzle pieces

There’s also a Mischief interaction where you can steal a puzzle piece.

That won’t prevent other Sims from working on the puzzle, it’s just that the last piece will be missing by the time they’re done.

But you can always choose to return the missing puzzle piece.

If you own other packs, you’ll have additional options when you click on the game tables.

The Rec Center is the perfect place for elders to hang out and socialize.

There’s also a dedicated area where you can work out.

The Center is an excellent venue to book for a family event.

It has a special area dedicated to family events such as baby showers and sleepovers.

Don’t worry, you can still have sleepovers in your house if you want to. The Rec Center just has plenty of space for sleepovers if you’re interested.

Kids can join art classes at the Rec Center.

Overall, the Rec Center is an infant-friendly place.

⇒ Fun Fact:

  • The Rec Center was built by LilSimsie.

How to get around in San Sequoia

Getting around in San Sequoia can sometimes take a lot of time. Getting to the two fishing locations can take a few game hours if you’re on the opposite side of the map.

You can give your Sims bikes to get around faster.

Alternatively, you can use teleportation options. As a quick reminder, Spellcasters and Werewolves can use their occult powers to teleport.

Happy Simming and enjoy spending quality time with family and friends in San Sequoia!
