If you want your Sim to be at the top of their class, there are a few things you can do to get the job done. Sims that get good grades in high school have higher chances of getting accepted to university.

How do I get good grades in Sims 4?

For Sims to get good grades, have them go to school every day in high moods, pay attention in class, and do their homework. Preferably, go to school while being Focused.

When doing homework, click on the Extra Credit option. This option is only available for Grade B and Grade A students.

Grade A students start as Grade B high school students when they age up. Grade A high school students start their job at a higher level after aging up into young adults.

How can my Sim become a Grade A student?

Do this to become a Grade A student in the Sims 4:

  • Go to school Focused
  • Interact with the pop-ups that show up while in class to unlock performance boosts
  • Have your Sims study hard to improve their school performance
  • Have them do their homework as soon as they get home
  • After finishing homework, click on Do Extra Credit Work for extra performance gain
  • Complete school projects as soon as they’ve been assigned
  • Get one skill to Level 4 from the get-go, even if the game says you only need to reach Level 2

Have a teen or adult help children do their homework if you notice they’re struggling or have trouble focusing.

If you have City Living installed, you can use the Good Schools lot trait to unlock extra school performance gain.

Grade C students can become Grade A students

Every Sim starts as a Grade C student. To become a Grade B student, you need to reach Level 2 in any skill that you’re interested in leveling up.

To become an A student, your Sim needs to reach Level 4 in one skill. To maintain A grades, your Sim needs to attend classes every day and continue to do their homework.

Leveling up a specific skill to reach Level 4 will give your teenage Sim a head start on adult skills. This will come in very handy at work.

Why is my Sim getting bad grades in Sims 4?

To check why your Sim is still a Grade C student, check the school tab. The panel will indicate where the problem is. It’s typically low performance or failure to complete specific requirements and tasks.

Students can sometimes leave their homework behind. If they don’t have it on them when the teacher asks to see it, they’ll get bad grades. Always check your Sim’s inventory before sending them to school.

Level up Logic and go to school Focused

What I like to do when playing with high school students is focus on improving my Sim’s Logic skill.

One way to do that is to have them use the pocket-size telescope to observe the sky before sending them to school. They’ll also get the Focused buff after observing the sky for a few minutes.

You hit two birds with one stone using this strategy.

You can also serve them a cup of black tea for breakfast to give them a strong long-lasting Focused buff.

Conclusion

To get good grades in The Sims 4, go to school while Focused, pay attention while in class, level up a skill to reach Level 4, and do your homework. Additionally, use the pop-up interactions that show up while in class for extra performance gain.

If your Sim is going to University, you’ll need a slightly different strategy to get A grades.
