Did you know that you can jumpstart your Sim’s friendship relationships? You can make them friends with everyone using a series of simple cheats.
You can use the relationships. create_friends_for_sim cheat to add new Sim friends to the game.
I’ll give you a quick breakdown of the steps to follow below.
But first, don’t forget to back up your game files.
How can Sims become friends instantly?
The fastest way for your Sim to become friends with other Sims is to use friendship cheats. Use the modify.relationship cheat to quickly become friends with other Sims.
Alternatively, you can also use MCCC or use Friendly interactions to make friends the old fashion way.
Method 1: Use friendship cheats
- Enable cheats:
- Press Ctrl, Shift, and C on PC
- Press Command, Shift, and C on Mac
- Hold down all four shoulder buttons on your Xbox or PlayStation console
- Then, type testingcheats true to open the cheat console
- Type in relationships. create_friends_for_sim
- Copy and paste this cheat to add more friends
- Use the relationship.introduce_sim_to_all_others cheat to introduce your Sim to all of their neighbors
It’s worth mentioning that the relationships. create_friends_for_sim cheat actually creates new Sims that are already friends with your Simself.
You can also change your Sim’s relationship level with other Sims by using the following cheat: ModifyRelationship [SimAFirstName] [SimALastName] [SimBFirstName] [SimBLastName] AMOUNT LTR_Friendship_Main
Your command should look something like this: ModifyRelationship John Doe Jane Doe 100 LTR_Friendship_Main
You need to replace Amount with a specific number to change your Sim’s friendship level with another Sim. If you want them to become good friends, type in 100.
Method 2: Use MCCC
You can also use MCCC to edit your Sim’s friendship levels. To do that, click on your friend Sim, select MCCC, and go to Relationships. Then, click on Set Active Relationship Levels, select Set Active Friendly and then select your preferred friendship level.
Method 3: Make friends the old fashion way
Alternatively, you can spam the Friendly or Funny interactions to level up the friendship bar. The downside to using this method is that it can take an awful lot of time to make new friends.
Sims that have the Friend of the World aspiration can quickly gain the trust of other Sims and have deep conversations with them.
What to do if friendship cheats won’t work in Sims 4
If your friendship cheats are not working in The Sims 4, this is probably due to corrupted files. Repair your game files or start a new game to solve this problem.
Always back up your Sims 4 saves. Go to Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves and back up the Saves folder regularly.
Save files can sometimes get corrupted and you might not always be able to recover them. Losing your progress due to unexpected save file corruption issues can be very frustrating.
