The Sims 4: Stop Sims from asking to be best friends

Sims-4-stop-asking-to-be-best-friends

To prevent random Sims from letting themselves into your house and asking to be best friends, navigate to Game Options, select Pack Settings, and disable NPC Relationship Autonomy.

Alternatively, you can lock the door to keep townies at bay.

Many Simmers noticed these unusual events started occurring after installing High School Years.

Refusing to become best friends with another Sim will trigger hurt sentiments about your Sim. Their reaction is pretty dramatic. They’ll get a Dejected about Rejection negative moodlet.

After a while, you Sim will get the Creeped Out moodlet from receiving so many BFF invitations.

As a result, all your Sim’s friends are sad when they’re around your Sim. At the same time, your Sim will feel Tense around their friends.

Unfortunately, that won’t prevent them from asking you to become best friends again.

You can only have one best friend

As a quick reminder, you can’t have more than one best friend at a time. If you decline another Sim’s invitation to become best friends, make sure to apologize immediately so they won’t have a grudge against you.

If you accept to become best friends with another Sim, you’ll break the existing Best Friends status with your current BFF.

Hit the comments below and let me know if disabling NPC Relationship Autonomy solved the problem.
