What to do if festivals are not working in The Sims 4

Sims-4-festivals-not-working

If the City Living festivals aren’t showing up on the calendar and you’re not getting notifications for them, you’re not the only one experiencing this glitch.

This issue can be really annoying, especially if you’re planning to send your Sims to the Spice Festival to buy spices, learn new recipes or buy fireworks.

Unfortunately, this glitch can also affect Snowy Escape and Cottage Living.

Follow the steps below to solve the problem.

What should I do if festivals won’t show up in The Sims 4?

Use the invites from friends

Check if you received festival invites from friends. You should be able to use them to show up to the festivals on the correct lot and day.

Even if the festivals don’t show up on your calendar, chances are they appear on your friends’ calendars.

Travel to the lot where the festivals take place

Even if you’re not getting notifications for the festivals, travel to the lot where they take place and check if you can attend the event.

For example, the City Living festivals occur on a 2-week rotation basis.

The Snowy Escape festivals take place on weekends. The Finchwick Fair takes place every Saturday if you have Cottage Living.

Remove mods

If you’re using mods, make sure they’re all up to date. If the issue persists, move your Mods folder to your desktop and restart The Sims 4.

Mods often break game features, especially after a new game version is released. Mod creators need some time to make the code compatible with the latest The Sims 4 game version.

That’s why you may sometimes experience various glitches after updating your game to the latest version.

I hope you managed to solve the problem.

Happy Simming!
