But there’s one really annoying disadvantage to stardom.
Frequent interactions with fans may result in a fame quirk where obsessed fans start following your Sim around everywhere.
They’ll even follow your Sim to their home.
Obsessed fans, aka Stans
Obsessed fans are known as “Stans”. They have a burning desire to be around their favorite celebrity.
They’re not ill-intentioned. They simply want to spend as much time as possible near their favorite superstar.
Stans will often attempt to chat with you while out in public. They’ll even show up at your residence uninvited.
Long story short, they’ll stalk you everywhere.
Here’s how you can deal with obsessed fans.
How do I get rid of obsessed fans in The Sims 4?
To get rid of obsessed fans in The Sims 4, you need to get rid of the Stan Quirk first. Purchase the Quirk-B-Gone potion from the Rewards Store and use it to remove the Stan fame quirk.
You need 250 Satisfaction Points to purchase the Quirk-B-Gone potion.
If you don’t have enough Satisfaction Points, complete more aspiration-related tasks and short-term whims.
The more aspiration tasks and short-term whims your Sim completes, the more Satisfaction Points they get.
Fans will often steal stuff from celebs
Obsessed fans will often steal stuff from celebrities when invited into their homes. Swiping a souvenir from their favorite superstar will make their day.
If you don’t let them in, they’ll find another way to grab a souvenir.
Fans will frequently show up at your residence and start digging through your trash cans hoping to find precious souvenirs.
Even if you don’t let Stans in, they’ll find a way to barge in.
Feed Stans to vampires
Vampires love obsessed fans. Think of Stans as free food for your vampire. There’s no need to look for food and hunt townies when prey comes to your den willingly.
Invite Stans in and let your vampire Sim feed on them.
