The Sims 4 Neighborhood Stories add too many babies

The-Sims-4-Neighborhood-Stories-too-many-babies

Neighborhood Stories may sometimes add way too many babies and pers to your game. Don’t be surprised if your notification wall gets filled with news about NPCs having another baby or adopting another child or pet.

Your neighbors will keep having kids faster than your notification wall can manage the news. Their households will fill up super fast.

Townies will also randomly call your Sim asking if they should try for a baby. Saying “Yes” will convince them that’s the best decision to take and they’ll quickly get down to business.

If you want to speed up the process, you can also use the “Discuss expanding the family” interaction.

What’s the solution?

If you want to limit the number of babies and kids per household while keeping Neighborhood Stories active, you can disable child and pet adoption.

That will prevent Sims from adopting kids and pets.

However, turning off child and pet adoption won’t prevent them from having biological kids.

Your neighbors will probably keep having biological babies. You’ll still see many families with 6 kids.

The most surprising part is that some babies will look nothing like their parents.

You may want to check your neighbors’ family trees. It’s not uncommon for Sims to have babies with completely random Sims they don’t even know.

Alternatively, you can completely disable Neighborhood Stories.

That should prevent Sims from sprouting kids one after the other.

Weird neighborhood stories

By the way, if your game is laggy, you may want to disable pet adoption and check if you notice any improvements.

Many Simmers confirmed that pet adoption made their games laggy.

Speaking of what Simmers said, many had a lot of Sims die in weird ways like dying from extreme emotions or after lighting the house on fire.

If you’ve noticed Sims dying in unusual ways too, Neighborhood Stories could be the culprit.

What do you think about Neighbourhood Stories? Did you enable this feature for both played and unplayed households?

Happy Simming!
