fix-Sims-4-invisible-fish-frog

Many Simmers have complained about frogs and fish being invisible in The Sims 4. When players place frogs down as decorations, they’re invisible except for their eyes.

The same glitch occurs when using aquariums. Fish and frogs are often invisible when placed in a fish tank or aquarium. Only a pair of eyes and a faint shadow appear in their place.

This issue can really annoying. If you try to add fish to an aquarium, the money gets taken out of your account but no fish appear in the tank.

Let’s explore why this issue occurs and how you can fix it.

Why are fish and frogs invisible in The Sims 4?

If you have Laptop Mode on, fish and frogs are often invisible in The Sims 4. Laptop Mode is making them invisible.

To fix this glitch, you need to disable Laptop Mode. Go to Game Options, select Graphics, and then turn off Laptop Mode.

Unfortunately, if you’re using a low-specs laptop, disabling Laptop Mode is not a good idea.

As a quick reminder, this option allows your machine to run The Sims 4 faster at the cost of visual effects. If you disable Laptop Mode, you may experience a slight FPS drop.

If this is the case, disable your mods, restart the game and check if you notice any FPS improvements.

EA is investigating the issue

This glitch has been plaguing Sims 4 players for over a year. It’s a known bug for Laptop Mode. EA is currently investigating the issue and will release a hotfix as soon as possible.

Apologies for the inconvenience.
Just want to let you all know that the team is still investigating this issue. However, it will take some time.

Meanwhile, you can either disable Laptop Mode or refrain from playing with fish and frogs.

By the way, this glitch can affect your Sims too. Sims can sometimes become invisible. They can’t do anything since you can’t click on them.
