Best weapons to inflict bleed damage in Elden Ring
If you’re planning to build a Blood-Magic-Melee based character, focus on Faith and Arcane scaling. You can then pair that with the Rivers of Blood Katana. This combo can deal massive damage to high HP enemies. Your enemies will melt before your eyes. However, Rivers of Blood shows up very late in the game.
You can also use the Bloody Helice heavy thrusting sword as it has a lot of bleed effect. Another interesting option is Eleonora’s Poleblade, a blood twinblade that you can unlock after completing Yura’s quest.
How can I tell if enemies are bleeding in Elden Ring?
At first, there is no visual clue that indicates if enemies are bleeding or not. Their status bar is invisible. Only after applying a significant amount of damage, will you see a large explosion of blood. Bleed damage is most effective when you attack consecutively.
If your enemies are heavily armored or made of stone, they won’t bleed. Regular mobs have little health. This means they won’t live long enough to have bloodloss. On the other hand, main bosses and enemies will have bloodloss.
And now you know.
