If you have a coffee or tea brewer in your household and leave autonomy on, your Sims will make coffee or tea compulsively.
If there’s nothing in their action queue, they’ll quickly jump on the coffee or tea machine.
The problem is that Sims often make more coffee and tea than they need. Obviously, the coffee or tea they can’t drink eventually gets thrown away. That’s a waste of your Sim’s hard-earned money.
Sometimes, when you tell your Sims to cook food, they’ll grab the ingredients and then suddenly decide to make coffee or tea instead. They simply refuse to cook even though they’re starving.
Why are my Sims obsessed with making coffee or tea?
If there are no activities listed in your Sim’s action queue, they’ll often make coffee or brew tea out of boredom. If they don’t have anything else to do, they’ll choose to make coffee or tea knowing these drinks will instantly give them a positive buff.
Coffee will make Sims Energized. Depending on the tea flavor they use, your Sim can get the Happy, Confident, Focused, or Inspired moodlet.
Drinking too much coffee or tea will make your Sims need to use the bathroom quite often. If that’s disrupting your gameplay, you can either slow down Needs decay or disable Needs.
How to stop Sims from making coffee or tea
To prevent Sims from obsessively making coffee or tea, place an object with a higher fun rating in your household. Add a computer, and your Sims will automatically go to it to play games.
If this solution doesn’t solve the problem, get rid of the coffee or tea machine.
Alternatively, you can go to Game Options and disable Autonomy completely.
Happy Simming!
