What-pregnant-Sims-cannot-do-Sims-4

There are a lot of things that pregnant Sims can’t do in The Sims 4. Let’s take a quick look at some of the most common limitations during pregnancy.

Pregnant Sims can’t work out in the third trimester. They can’t go jogging, swim laps in the pool, do yoga, use weight machines or run on the treadmill. The most important thing is that pregnant Sims can’t die.

Your Sim can’t busk in the streets while pregnant. They can’t take a mud bath, or use the hot tub or waterslide.

Sims can’t use the Rocket Ship to travel into space or go through a wormhole while pregnant.

Other things that pregnant Sims can’t do include:

  • Go bowling
  • Get a massage
  • Play with toddlers

Animation limitations

Many of the things that pregnant Sims can’t do in The Sims 4 are actually related to technical limitations. The devs need to take the tummy into account when creating animations. Creating these special animations requires a lot of work.

Some of the restrictions are realistic while others aren’t. For example, limiting vigorous exercise such as jogging is realistic but eliminating yoga is not.

How physical activity limitations evolve for pregnant Sims

When the pregnancy status buff reads “Giving birth in ???” this indicates your Sim can no longer work out. During the first and second trimesters, pregnant Sims can engage in light physical activities.

They can jog, swim, and do yoga without any problems. They can also use the treadmill, weight machines, punching bag, water slide, and basketball hoop.

Once they’ve hit the second trimester, they can no longer jog, or swim laps. They can’t use the water slide or do yoga routines. The greeting pose is the only yoga pose that pregnant Sims can do on the yoga mat.

The good news is that there are no food restrictions for pregnant Sims in The Sims 4. Your Sim can eat whatever they want. Of course, vegetarian and lactose intolerant Sims have their options limited.
