The Sims 4: Werewolf hybrids are doable but very glitchy

Sims-4-werewolf-hybrids

The Sims 4: Werewolves is one of the coolest packs ever released for the franchise. Simmers can engage in many fun werewolf activities, such as howling, scavenging, hunting, scratching and smashing objects, and so on.

But there’s one question that’s been on every Simmer’s mind ever since the pack was launched.

Can you create werewolf hybrids in Sims 4?

You can create werewolf hybrids in The Sims 4 using mods and cheats, but they’ll be extremely glitchy or completely unplayable. Many werewolf interactions won’t be available and the UI needs panel will glitch up. Additionally, you can’t really control the behavior of werewolf hybrids.

As a quick reminder, hybridization is code-locked in The Sims 4. Sims can only be one type of occult at a time.

You’ll need to use mods to create playable werewolf hybrids in The Sims 4. The Occult Hybrid Stabilizer mod tweaks the game code so as to prevent the annoying glitches that usually occur when playing with hybrid Sims.

Simmer creates werewolf-vampire hybrid by accident

Simmer Publicity has accidentally created a werewolf-vampire hybrid. Her werewolf-vampire hybrid has vampire energy and need requirements, but can also turn into a werewolf.

During rampage episodes, the “wolfpire” seeks out nearby Sims and drinks their blood.

Unfortunately, many werewolf-specific interaction are unusable.

I cannot do anything with her besides snarl at people and make her run savagely (which she does get on all 4s to do). She has the Excitable wolf trait, so she gains fury faster doing things like watching TV.

The first time she transformed, she still looked like herself. The second time she actually changed into a wolf […] and the UI needs panel glitched up showing the Fury stuff over the vampire.

Publicity confirmed that her “wolfpire” was able to evolve and unlock additional werewolf abilities.

Werewolf-spellcaster hybrids

Tanja1986 has managed to create a werewolf-spellcaster hybrid using two mods that stabilize hybrids.

Right now I have a Spellcaster who got werebies from Greg XD and now she is a Mooncaster. Can fly on her broom and cast magic in Werewolf form. With the 2 mods she switches back and forth between the panels. […] transform her back to human Sim, she has the spellcaster panel with perks. […] I can also give the curse bite to Vampires XD I want to try that with Caleb to see what happens!

In case you’re wonder, werewolf-vampire hybrids are not supported but you can still try to create one.

Conclusion

While it’s possible to create werewolf hybrids in The Sims 4, chances are you’ll encounter many unexpected glitches when playing with a hybrid Sim. Many werewolf interactions won’t be available, and you’ll need to use a hybrid stabilizer mod to make your hybrid Sim playable.
