The Sims 4: How to become a werewolf [4 ways]

Sims-4-become-a-Werewolf

There are four ways to become a werewolf in Sims 4 Werewolves: ask a werewolf to bite you, catch Werebies, be born as a werewolf from werewolf parents, or be a werewolf coming out of CAS.

One of the requirements of the Werewolf Initiate aspiration is to become a werewolf.

Method 1: Ask a werewolf to bite you

If you want to become a werewolf in Sims 4, ask a werewolf friend to bite you. The Ask to bite interaction is the fastest method to turn a Sim into a werewolf. Your friend is going to sink their teeth into your arm and infect you with lycanthropy.

The transformation process has four phases:

  • The Painful Bite
  • The Insatiable Hunger
  • The Ravenous Hunger
  • Your first transformation

Phase 1: The Painful Bite

A red glow will appear on your arm confirming you’ve been successfully infected. You’ll also get the Painful Bite moodlet from being bitten by a werewolf. The moodlet lasts for 2 hours.

Your Sim will also feel a lot closer to the werewolf that infected them.

Phase 2: The Insatiable Hunger

After the Painful Bite buff disappears, you’ll get the Insatiable Hunger moodlet. Your Sim is getting hungry much faster than usual. This buff lasts for 5 hours.

You may want to keep an eye on your Sim’s Hunger needs. The bar will be getting low fast.

Phase 3: The Ravenous Hunger

The next stage is the Ravenous Hunger. No matter how much you eat, the Hunger bar depletes instantly. You’ll become a werewolf in a matter of hours.

Phase 4: Turning into a werewolf

Werewolves get completely wild the first time they turn. This is because Fury hits maximum and they completely lose control.

They haven’t experienced the Werewolf life state before, so it’s kind of confusing and scary at first.

Fury envelops Werewolves like a beautiful flaming blanket. As Fury grows, their animalistic instincts begin to manifest and will eventually take over.

The first transformation is always the scariest of them all. Sit back, relax, and let your werewolf get some stuff off the system first.

Let them cool down. They’re out of control anyway.

After the effects of the first transformation disappear, your Sim will wake up at some random place completely naked.

Phase 5: Unlock additional abilities

When you first become a werewolf, you don’t have all the abilities that a werewolf normally has. You need to do a lot of self-improvement work
to unlock additional abilities.

As you become more experienced as a werewolf, you get to choose your path and focus on developing specific abilities.

Fury speeds up the transformation

Fury gain is constant, you can’t stop it. Once the Fury-Meter is full, transformation is imminent.

Fury is hastened by temperaments, preferences, Werewolf abilities, and the Full Moon.

Keep an eye on the Fury-Meter. As it fills up, you’re getting more animalistic and savage. You become more and more wild until Fury reaches its maximum, and then you transform.

A werewolf controlled by Fury wants to smash things and scare other Sims. They’re rampaging.

When a werewolf is rampaging, a lot of interactions become unavailable. For example, rampaging werewolves can’t sit or use the toilet.

If the Fury is high and your Sim already unlocked the werewolf ability to mark their territory, they will choose to do that.

Can werewolves die from Anger in The Sims 4?

Werewolves can’t die from anger, they’re rage monsters. High Fury doesn’t trigger the Death by Anger feature.

Werewolves are immune to Death by Anger, and death by any emotion for that matter.

Method 2: Catch Werebies

If you accidentally get bitten by a werewolf in Sims 4, you catch Werebies. When that happens, you get a much longer Uncomfortable buff.

The friendly bite bypasses the Werebies phase. It’s a much faster method to become a werewolf.

How to cure Werebies

If you want to stop the Werebies process, go to the Grimtooth Bar and Ask for the Werebies Remedy. You need to act fast. The remedy won’t work if you wait for too long.

You can’t use the Ask for the Werebies Remedy interaction if you get bitten by a Werewolf-Friend.

The Ask to Bite interaction automatically disables the Ask for the Werebies Remedy interaction.

Method 3: Born Werewolves

You can also Try for Baby with a werewolf. However, this method has a 50/50 chance of success, which is pretty good odds to have a werewolf baby.

Born werewolves can become Greater-Blood Werewolves with many werewolf abilities active, or Dormant Werewolves.

As a dormant werewolf, your abilities don’t manifest. They kind of skip through generations. But you can still turn under certain conditions.

The Werewolf traits start to manifest from toddler and up. Toddlers and teens can’t turn. They can’t manifest like full-fledged werewolves.

Nevertheless, watching them engage in werewolf activities such as howling is really fun.

They can also bite their toys. Kids with werewolf traits will get really excited about beating up their siblings.

Method 4: Create a werewolf in CAS

You can bypass the whole werewolf transformation phase, and create your very own Werewolf in CAS.

There are plenty of customization options available: you can edit your werewolf’s fur color, face, ears, jawline, chin tuft, eyes, claws, and so on.

Most of the attire library of Sim clothing is available for werewolves as well. Werewolves can’t wear shoes but you can put on a ripped pair of jeans or a nice sweater.

Conclusion

If you get bitten by a werewolf in The Sims 4, you become a werewolf yourself. You can accidentally get bitten or ask a Werewolf friend to bite you.

You don’t need all that if you’re already a werewolf coming out of CAS. The same is valid if you were born a werewolf from werewolf parents.
