If your Sim doesn’t own a big lot but they have green fingers, you can grow a vertical garden. In this manner, you can hit two birds with one stone. You can grow your very own garden while saving space.
Go into Build & Buy Mode and buy the OK-Bloomer Vertical Garden planter. You can place it on your patio or inside the house and start planting seeds.
What plants can I grow in a vertical garden in The Sims 4?
You can grow the following plants in a vertical garden:
- Basil, Beans, Begonia, Bell pepper, Bird of Paradise, Bizarre Fruit, Catnip, Christmas Rose, Chrysanthemum, Dahlia, Daisies, Grapes, Green Pea, Holly, Madnip, Mandrake, Napnip, Nuzzlenip, Parsley, Rose, Sage, Soy Beans, Spinage, and Tomato.
You can also grow all sorts of berries in a vertical garden such as Blackberry, Elderberry, Muckleberry, Museberry, and Strawberry.
You cannot grow trees in a vertical garden planter. Trees need a lot more space to grow than what a vertical garden planter can offer.
How does vertical gardening affect plants?
Vertical gardening doesn’t affect your plants’ quality, growth rate, or how many fruits and veggies you get out of a plant.
However, if you place a vertical garden planter indoors, the number of fruit and veggies that you can harvest per plant usually drops by 50 percent.
The crop yield decrease is normal.
If a plant is growing outside, you can get around 10 fruits or veggies in season. Growing the same plant indoors will decrease crop yield.
