When your Sims go to work or take some time off and go on a vacation, you have the option to send toddlers to daycare.
The problem is that oftentimes your toddler’s needs are extremely low when they return from daycare. It’s as if nobody took care of their needs at daycare.
As a result, you have to work really hard to get them in the green again.
This is not a new problem.
Daycare was broken a few years ago, but EA fixed it. Unfortunately, it seems this issue has returned to ruin Simmers’ fun.
The worst part is that Social Services may take your toddler away due to neglect if you fail to meet their needs soon after they get back home.
Some Simmers suggested there’s no such place as “daycare” in The Sims 4. They think the game simply makes your toddlers invisible.
Some Simmers even swear they almost heard toddlers babbling and saw their shadows on the ground even though they were supposed to be at daycare.
Hire a nanny
Alternatively, you can hire a nanny to stay with your toddler while the parents are at work.
The bad news is that not all nannies are created equal. Sometimes, they’ll just cook and do various household chores, pretty much like maids, and ignore the toddler they’re supposed to take care of.
If you’re lucky, the game will send you a reliable nanny and your toddler can just work on their skills all day long.
Help the parents stay at home
If you don’t like the idea of relying on daycare or nannies to take care of your toddler’s needs, you can get a work-from-home job or work as a freelancer.
In this manner, you don’t have to leave the house to go to work. You can work from the comfort of your house while taking care of your toddler.
Or you can simply disable need decay and stop worrying about your toddler’s needs.
Happy Simming!
