If you want to stop being a Spellcaster in The Sims 4, have your Sim travel to the Magic Realm. Then, find a Sage, talk with them, click on the Magic menu and select Ask For Rite of Dissolution.
The Sage will turn your Sim back into a normal Sim.
Your Sim will instantly lose their Magic powers and become immune to curses.
Yes, that means the Night Wraith will no longer haunt them.
You’ll need to talk to the Sage for a while and level up your relationship bar with them before you can access and use the “Ask For Rite of Dissolution” option.
Once you stop being a Spellcaster, you also become immune to Death by Magic Overload.
How do I travel to The Magic Realm in The Sims 4?
To visit the Magic Realm, open your Sim’s inventory, click on the Glimmerstone, and select Travel to The Magic Realm.
If your Sim has visited The Magic Realm recently, the option to Travel to The Magic Realm will be greyed out. Wait until the Glimmerstone has recharged its power and try again later.
Alternatively, you can have your Sim travel to the Glimmerbrook Watch and use the portal to travel to The Magic Realm.
What happens when you ask for Rite of Dissolution in The Sims 4?
When your Sim asks for the Rite of Dissolution, this means they’re asking for their Magic powers to be revoked. Sims can’t revoke their own Magic powers. They need to ask a Sage to take their powers away from them.
Can I turn my normal Sim into a Spellcaster?
If you change your mind and you want to become a Spellcaster again, find a Sage, click on the Magic menu, and select Aks For Rite of Ascension.
The best part is that all your Spellcaster powers and spells will be available to you. Your Sim won’t lose their Magic progress if they temporarily give up their Spellcaster status.
Can my Sim be a Spellcaster and a Vampire?
The Sims 4 doesn’t support hybrid Sims. This means your Sim can only be one type of occult at a time. You can’t be a Spellcaster and a Vampire at the same time.
You need to stop being a Spellcaster first and then become a Vampire.
The same is valid for other occult types. Werewolves need to renounce their werewolf powers before they can become spellcasters.
While some hybrid types are doable, they’re very glitchy or even unplayable.
