If you have The Sims 4: Seasons installed, you should definitely get an umbrella. Spring and fall are the rainiest in-game seasons.
If it starts raining and your Sims don’t have an umbrella, they’ll get the Uncomfortable buff. If they don’t like being outdoors, they may even get angry.
By the way, an umbrella can protect vampire Sims from deadly sun rays. Until they level up and develop Sun Resistance, they have no choice but to carry an umbrella with them.
How do you get an umbrella in The Sims 4: Seasons?
To get an umbrella in The Sims 4, enter Build Mode, go to Appliances, click on Miscellaneous Appliances, and select the Umbrella Rack. Then place the rack in the hallway, and use the Take an Umbrella interaction to get an umbrella.
Alternatively, you can simply enter Build Mode then type in “umbrella” in the search field.
⇒ Important Note: You have to own Seasons in order to purchase an umbrella stand and place it in your house.
There’s a variety of umbrellas that you can choose from. I’m sure you can find one that matches your Sim’s outfit.
An umbrella rack costs only 100 Simoleons and can serve the entire household. Each Sim can individually select an umbrella simply by clicking on the umbrella stand.
Your Sim can now take a walk in the park without worrying about the cloudy skies.
However, make sure they find shelter when a thunderstorm breaks. If they get hit by lightning, they may die on the spot.
Don’t wait until your Sim gets the Scared by Thunderstorm buff. Get inside as soon as possible and stay dry and warm.
