The Sims 4 is a game where a lot of weird things can happen. For example, an unexpected baby may randomly appeared in your Sim’s life. Sometimes, your Sim doesn’t even know the baby’s father. Sims can have unwanted pregnancies, or maybe you just don’t like the new kid.
The idea is that you desperately want to get rid of that kid. So, how do you do that? Here are some useful ideas to get the job done.
How do you get rid of unwanted babies in Sims 4?
Move them to another household
You can send unwanted kids to live with another family. Simply click on Edit household, select another one and move the kid over. Keep in mind they’ll need another Sim around that’s at least a teenager. Ideally, move them over in a household where there’s at least one adult Sim.
Kids that get raised by other Sim parents still show up on the family tree. Basically, they’ll still biologically related to their parents but raised by a different family.
You can move babies into other lots without any problems. They are counted as a part of a household in World view. But in Build mode, they are labeled as objects.

Neglect them and let them fade away into nothingness
You can also lock unwanted babies and kids into a room, and stop caring for them. After a while, that baby or kid will be taken away from you for neglect. They will simply disappear in a puff of smoke.
A quick notification will pop up on the screen that reads: Due to neglect, [your kid] has been whisked away to safety. Maybe you should try a goldfish before parenting again.
Delete unwanted kids
If you want to remove all traces about the existence of an unwanted kid, you can simply delete them from the game.
- First, save the current game.
- Then, age up the baby.
- Go to Manage World.
- Locate the household where the kid lives.
- Select Manage Household
- Go to the Create A Sim.
- Then, hover over the Sim you want to delete.
- Hit the X button to delete that Sim.

Can you put a baby up for adoption in Sims 4?
You can also use cheats to put a baby up or adoption in The Sims 4.
- Enable TestingCheats and MCCC.
- Then, shift click on the baby.
- A blank bubble will appear on the screen.
- Click on that option.
- The Child Services will take the baby away and put them up for adoption.
