How Many Expansion Packs Will Sims 4 Get in 2020?

sims 4 expansion packs 2020

The Sims 4 will soon receive the first expansion pack of 2020 called Eco Lifestyle. But this is not the only expansion pack the game will receive this year.  Simmers can expect to get a second major expansion pack this fall.

As its name suggests, Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle is an eco-friendly pack that introduces a new location: Evergreen Harbour. What’s really unique about this pack is that players’ actions will have a major impact on the environment.

This pack offers Sims the opportunity to do more for nature and the environment they live in. Gardening and recycling are everyday key actions that all Sims need to engage in.

The expansion also introduces a cruelty-free Meat Wall, something that vegetarian Sims will really like.

But the Sims 4 2020 roadmap does not end here. At the beginning of April, the SimGurus revealed the game would get two expansion packs this year, as well as a new Stuff Pack.

Speaking of the Stuff Pack, this will be a knitting-oriented pack voted by the community. You can use it to knit sweaters, socks and other pieces of clothing for your Sims. You can read more about the Knitting Stuff Pack on EA’s website.

What’s in this year’s second expansion pack?

The fact that Sims 4 will get two expansion packs this year is not that surprising. Back in 2015, the devs released the Get To Work and Get Together packs in March and December, respectively.

In 2018, Seasons landed in June and Get Famous in November. And in 2019, gamers got two packs as well: Island Living and Discover University.

The second expansion pack of 2020 will most likely land in November or December, allowing EA to take full advantage of the Christmas-gift potential.

As for the content of the second pack, at the time of writing there is currently no information available whatsoever. However, judging by the roadmap image EA revealed, we think the pack will have some connection to the existing Cats & Dogs or Toddler pack. Maybe EA will add more animals as pets?
