The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle: How can I use balconies?

The-Sims-4-Eco-Lifestyle-Apartment-Balconies

In The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle, balconies are not considered part of the house. This means you can’t put any furniture on balconies.

If you’re planning to use your balcony for gardening, think again. After spending hours decorating the inside of the apartment, you’ll be in shock when you’ll notice that balconies are not customizable.

You can’t use your apartment balcony for gardening.

Needless to say, that space would be perfect for vertical gardens.

Apartment balconies were customizable at first. However, the devs decided to remove this feature shortly before the expansion pack was officially released.

However, despite this limitation, there is something you can do to make apartment balconies editable in Evergreen Harbor.

Here’s what you need to do.

Use TOOL to edit balconies in Eco Lifestyle

TOOL is a handy mod that allows you to place objects wherever you want. Basically, it cancels the pre-set grid.

You can use TOOL to edit your apartment balconies in The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle.

For example, you can place planter boxes, solar panels, and wind turbines on balconies to lower your apartment’s eco-footprint.

If you don’t like the idea of using mods, you can place yoga mats and meditation stools on the balcony provided that you own Spa Day.

You don’t need to use TOOL to place things you can put in your inventory.

Well, if you can’t grow plants on the balcony, at least you can use that space to meditate and relax.

⇒ Quick Tip:

If you fancy customizing balconies without using mods, get the City Living expansion pack. Balconies in San Myshumo are editable. You don’t need to use mods to customize them.

Many Simmers avoid playing in Eco Lifestyle apartments. The fact they can’t edit balconies drives them crazy.

Do you share this opinion or do you really enjoy playing in these apartments? Let me know in the comments below.

Happy Simming!
