The Sims 4: How to delete roof walls and redesign your builds

Sims-4-how-to-delete-roof-walls

If you want to delete wall sections in The Sims 4, enter Build Mode, press and hold down the Ctrl key and drag your mouse over the wall that you want to remove. Alternatively, you can select the wall you want to delete and press Delete.

You can also use the sledgehammer tool to remove walls.

Unfortunately, all of these methods don’t work when you’re trying to remove the walls under a roof.

Let’s see what you can do to bypass this limitation in The Sims 4.

Can I delete roof walls in The Sims 4?

You cannot delete walls that are part of a roof in The Sims 4. As a workaround, you can shorten the roof on the lower floor to bring the roof wall to the same height as a normal wall. After reducing the roof height by one or two spaces, use an arch to remove most of the wall section.

Thanks, Siro300104 for the tip!

How to delete roof walls in Sims 4 using the TOOL Mod

If you don’t mind using mods, you can use the TOOL Mod to remove roof walls in The Sims 4.

Simply place the roof on your lot, select a door and place it on your roof wall. Scale the door down. Then, click on the door, and select the Scale option in the TOOL Mod. Enter 0.01 or 0.000 in the Scale field to render the walls and door invisible.

You’re now left with just the roof structure.

Your Sim can use the space below the roof without any problems.

⇒ Quick Note: If you’re using mods, don’t forget to enable Script Mods in Game Options.

By the way, if you’re getting the annoying “Not Expanded to Ops” error when editing your builds, check if the ceiling is missing from the first floor.
