Sims 4 Cottage Living: Obsidian eggs make your Sims evil

If you want to fully enjoy The Sims 4 Cottage Living experience, you need to buy at least one chicken coop and hatch chicks with a broody hen. Each coop can host up to eight chickens.

You can use the eggs to prepare tasty recipes or sell them at the weekly Finchwick Fair and make some money. Speaking of the fair, you can also enroll your chickens in the chicken competition. The mayor will decide the winner.

Chickens eggs are key ingredients for many of the recipes available in Cottage Living. But some eggs may trigger unexpected changes if your Sims eat them.

Obsidian eggs will turn your Sims into Evil Sims

If you use an Obsidian egg in any recipe, the Sim that eats the respective dish will instantly turn into an evil Sim. Your Sim will also get an Evil Glare which can set random objects on fire. When that happens, you need to act fast and put out the fire before it’s too late.

Evil Sims will autonomously engage into mean interactions with other Sims. They’ll do everything they can to make other Sims feel miserable.

The good news is that this episode doesn’t have to last long. If you take care of your chickens and keep them happy, your Sim should start feeling happy as well. As a result, they will no longer feel the urge to do evil things. They should also snap out of the evil mood pretty soon.

How to get Obsidian eggs

If you want to obtain Obsidian eggs, you need to turn one of your adult hens into an Evil Hen. You can do that by feeding them the Midnight Treat or by hatching an Obsidian egg.

By the way, you really want to keep your Evil Hens happy. Don’t use negative interactions, and don’t make them angry as they can kill your Sims.

⇒ Fun fact: If your Sim drinks Obsidian milk, they’ll get angry. So, if you’re looking for a quick way to get your Sim angry in Cottage Living, have them drink a glass of Obsidian milk.
