Many gamers are having trouble getting their hands on blueberries and raspberries. You need these two ingredients to prepare jams and animal treats. Let’s see where you get these ingredients from.
How to get blueberries and raspberries in Sims 4 Cottage Living
Harvest raspberries and blueberries from the woods
You can find raspberry and blueberry bushes by the ruins in the Bramblewood neighborhood. You need to be on the Bramblewood lot at 5AM, as the plants are usually ready to harvest at 6AM. Like a lot of plants in community areas, these two plants won’t grow unless you’re present in the area.
Simply put, wild berries won’t grow if you don’t stay in the area for a little while. They’ll get stuck in the dirt pile stage. Moreover, if a plant has sprouted, you still need to be physically present in the area and wait around until 6AM for the Harvest option to become available.
Use cheats to manipulate a plant’s growth state
Alternatively, you can also use cheats to speed up the growth process and harvest berries faster. Shift click the plant and edit its growth state. For example, you can set the growth stage to blooming and then wait around until 6AM to harvest it.
Buy raspberries and blueberries from the Grocery Shop
You can also purchase raspberries and blueberries from the grocery store in Finchwick. Keep in mind that you may not always find raspberries and blueberries on offer. Kim Goldbloom’s offer (the grocery shop owner) varies greatly depending on the day you pay her a visit. In other words, you may need to visit her grocery shop a few times until you can find raspberries and blueberries.
Buy raspberry and blueberry seeds from the Garden shop
If you want to permanently have various berries in your inventory, go to the Garden Shop and purchase raspberry and blueberry seeds. Plant the seeds in your garden, water them, take care of the young plants, and harvest the berries when time is right.
Trade berries with the Creature Keeper
You can find Chocoberries and other wild berries in the Bramblewood woods. Harvest different types of berries and once you have two or more of a certain kind, you can trade them with the Creature Keeper for a different type of berries.
⇒ Fun Fact:
You can give your llamas special berry-based treats to change their wool color, or serve Midnight Treats to your hens and turn them into Evil Chickens so that they lay Obsidian Eggs.
