If your child’s eyes keep changing in CAS, this indicates your CC is probably glitching out. Try removing everything and check if the glitch persists with no CC.
Identifying the problematic CC files is key to solving this problem. Update or remove the faulty CC files and check if the issue persists.
If you don’t want to delete the CC file that’s causing this issue, you may need to go through each outfit to correct the eyes to the color you want.
This glitch affects only toddlers and children. Basically, when you switch clothes in CAS, their eye color changes.
If you’re using CC eyes and you added them manually as an overlay, the eye color in CAS is probably what’s underneath. Going to CAS or using certain game interactions removes the CC eyes and restores the original eye color.
If the creator used a different eye color as a base, CAS or other actions or items are causing them to revert to the original color for some reason.
You may want to let the CC creator know about this glitch.
This glitch affects children of occult Sims
It is worth mentioning that this eye glitch primarily affects kids whose parents are Occults, particularly Spellcasters or Mermaids.
Kids with the Ancient Bloodline trait seem to be particularly affected by this issue.
If your child has purple eyes, their eyes will become red or brown in CAS. If you use headphones in Live Mode, their eyes will become yellow.
To prevent your child’s eyes from changing color, make sure they are in their first everyday outfit in CAS. If necessary, change their eye color to the one they’re supposed to have and then exit CAS.
Once again, this issue typically occurs when you switch clothes in CAS and your toddlers and children have occult parents.
Don’t change clothes in CAS to prevent their eyes from changing. Or simply don’t go to CAS with them.
Alternatively, you can age them up to teenagehood. Teenagers, adults, and elders are not affected by this glitch.
A third option is to simply learn to live with this glitch and change your Sim’s eye color back to whatever you want when they become teenagers.
Happy Simming!
