If you want to put your hockey skills to the test, launch NHL 22 and enjoy the fun. Well, no game can possibly be completely bug-free after release. Many NHL 22 players complained about various bugs that are sometimes making the game unplayable.

Players can’t edit the HUT team lineup
When players try to edit the existing HUT lineup, they get an error message that says the changes could not be saved.
Completed a team builder set, tried to insert player into lineup and keeps crashing
NHL gets stuck on the Synching screen
Many players complained NHL 22 is unplayable due to lag and syncing issues.
For the last 36 hours or so, me and the rest of the community can’t play WOC 6s drop-ins without having the game get broken in ways that seem to relate to an issue with synchronization.

HDR is too dark
All the game colors are too dark after enabling HDR. Even the ice is grey instead of white. If you disable HDR, everything is bright again.
The HDR in NHL 22 makes the game look dull and lacks brightness. I used auto hdr for NHL 21 on Series X and everything was very vibrant and bright. The ice was white in 21, but the hdr in 22 makes the ice look grey.
Jersey numbers are missing
Many players reported the jersey numbers are missing. Moreover, the color scheme is incorrect and the logos don’t display properly.
There seems to be a bug where numbers & names do not appear on the backs of created teams’ jerseys in-game. Has anyone else had this problem?
NHL freezes for a few seconds
Many players complained the game randomly freezes for a few seconds, then works normally for a few minutes, only to freeze again later. Sometimes, players need to force quit the game because it remains unresponsive.
The game freezes, but not completely. Soundtrack can still be heard, and “daily login pack” timer still counts down actively. […] The game just ceases to become navigable and you must force quit the game to be able to do anything again.
Settings won’t save
Quite a few players complained about not being able to save their settings.
When you edit settings in the game menu, or in Be a pro menu, or in franchise menu, the settings don’t change while you play in game. When you go in game, you’ll see that the changes are not saved and you need to edit it manually each game. If you go back to the main menu tho, you’ll see that your changes to the sliders are there, they don’t translate in game.
