You don’t need to buy every pack at full price, though. EA regularly discounts Sims 4 DLC, and there are several ways to save money when expanding your collection.
Is There a Way to Get Sims 4 Packs Cheaper?
The easiest way to save money is to wait for a sale.
EA regularly runs Sims 4 promotions where selected Expansion Packs, Game Packs, Stuff Packs, and Kits are discounted.
Discounts vary depending on the pack, but older Expansion Packs are frequently available for significantly less than their regular price.
Some EA promotions offer up to 50% off selected Sims 4 packs.
When Is The Sims 4 on Sale?
There’s no fixed Sims 4 sale calendar, but EA runs promotions throughout the year.
Major seasonal shopping periods such as Black Friday and the holiday season can also bring substantial discounts.
Discounts aren’t necessarily the same for every pack. Newer Expansion Packs may receive smaller discounts or be excluded from certain promotions, while older packs are more likely to receive larger discounts.
Use Stack & Save When Buying Multiple Packs
If you’re planning to buy several eligible Sims 4 packs, check whether Stack & Save is available.
Stack & Save allows you to combine eligible Expansion Packs, Game Packs, and Stuff Packs in one purchase and receive a discount based on the packs included.
However, not every pack is eligible. Some newer Expansion Packs can be excluded from Stack & Save promotions.
How Much Does All The Sims 4 DLC Cost?
As of August 2026, The Sims 4 has 21 Expansion Packs, 12 Game Packs, and 20 Stuff Packs, in addition to numerous Kits and the newer Marketplace content.
If you calculate the cost using the regular US list price of $39.99 for each of the 21 Expansion Packs, the Expansion Packs alone would cost $839.79 before discounts.
That’s why buying everything at full price isn’t a particularly good strategy.
